I guess that goes for the most of us that leave the charger in the outlet, including me. There are a couple of things:
- Handset manufacturers don't only make phones, they make accessories including bluetooth headsets and other power-dependent accessories. I'd estimate that 3 billion figure for chargers mentioned is a minimum figure for these out there.
- I have many Nokia devices that need power, but I usually try to leave not more than one charger in the wall. This is key for people who have devices that use the same charger.

Makes sense to me; I tend to be one of those that will leave his devices plugged in all night. Might have to start setting an alarm to beep me when its done charging in an hr or two until I can get one of those new fangled chargers.

This is very useful information. Each one of us can make a difference by simply unplugging our chargers! We should communicate this message widely.
