Not surprised at all with the conclusions all these people have drawn. Until the industry starts collaborating at making the complete ecosystem better instead of just benefiting one and only one company than there is no hope.

BAH! I just typed a draft of a rant that’s been brewing for a while, basically exactly this post. LBS has been proclaimed for a long time, and I’ve had GPS on my phone since the N80 (with BT receiver), and yet all I can do with it still is navigate and tag pictures.
