Video: Nokia we:offset eco travel app in action
By Mike on 08 August 2008
INTERNATIONAL – Yesterday I was keen to shine the spotlight on Nokia’s new location-based CO2 offsetting software. Simply called we:offset its the first mobile app to calculate your carbon footprint when you travel by aeroplane, and even do it automatically using location-based info. So I thought I’d shoot a short video of it in action. Watch it here…
Luckily, I don’t have to take any flights in the near future, but if you are and would think about using we:offset we’d love to hear how you get on with it – especially the Trip Detection feature that automatically tracks your flights and calculates the CO2 emissions, along with what it costs to offset. Likewise, if you’ve just downloaded it and would like to post your thoughts, please do in the comments section below.

Just installed the application on my N95 8GB, and I can’t use it as it looks like I’m missing a required font. See startup screen shot at:

Application makes you aware about global problem of excessive pollution, but how is this application suggesting any solution?
Who will cancel scheduled flight after seeing the CO2 emission that will be associated with there traveling?
Maybe you guys could add some feature that will really give some solution for pollution problems.
