Video: Ramadan apps up close and explained
By Mike on 13 August 2008
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - Earlier today we brought you word on the entire new stable of free Ramadan-related mobile software that has just been released and made accessible via nokia.com/ramadan. Created and championed by the Nokia team in Dubai, this morning I chatted to Mohamed El-Sheakh, Business Manager of software and services for Nokia Middle East and Africa, who sent us a great little video they shot outlining the vision for the services and highlighting a couple of the key apps in action.
Let us know what you think in the comments section below.

I am not muslim but I think this is such one of the most brilliant ideas from Nokia since the last times.. This application could be a starting point for other ones like this, like ebooks. Why Nokia not to try to create apps of eBooks? I’d love to reading an ebook on my Nokia device while i’m in the metro for work or vice-versa, why not?
You have created a music store, why not this too?
Once again, what a brilliant idea!

Hi Chaplin, there’s many free applications available to read ebooks, one such is Mobipocket eBook Reader. It eats eBooks in .prc format that you can find from several places to buy or shared for free. I have been using this long time with my N95 and enjoyed several books in trains and airplanes.. Have a look: http://www.mobipocket.com/
