Maybe stuff like Nike's ID sneakers etc. hit the chord more accurately, because there's ultimately more choice that way. What I don't like is initiating the change in the physical world. This implies that I have a drawer full of addon parts, shells, speakers, etc. Just imagine that I switch my profile, and THEN my device changes shape and colour to reflect my choice. Or I run media player, and additional speakers grow on demand. How cool is that? I like the concept of virtual and real being in sync.
