<description>I&#039;m sorry to be the negative voice here, but I&#039;m rather embarassed for Nokia that NokiaviNe isn&#039;t publicly launched yet, for a few reasons:

1. From everything I&#039;ve seen and read, it&#039;s more or less a branded/prettier version of SportsTracker, down to each feature. How hard is it to duplicate that?

2. NokiaviNe was announced at the same time as the Nokia N85 and N79, both of which are now shipping in various countries.

I think it&#039;s rather silly that Nokia continues to announce new services that aren&#039;t ready to go, and often aren&#039;t for several months. It started with N-Gage 2.0, continued with the Music Store and Ovi, on into Comes With Music, and now NokiaviNe. What&#039;s the point of announcing a service or application that no one can use?

I understand the desire to &#039;create buzz&#039; by keeping it exclusive, but it&#039;s just plain silly to announce a web service that isn&#039;t available to use.

<description>I like the idea of the Nokia viNe*, and I&#039;ve been looking to the site for updates in its progress and hoped it would be available to download soon. Still waiting though, but as with all good things, I&#039;m sure its worth waiting for.

I recently went on holiday to the other side of the world, and took along my N96 and made full use of the Geotagging feature when taking photos so I could later upload them onto my Ovi site and see exactly where I had been.
As you James, it was exciting to see the exact spot I had been standing when shooting my camera.

It has no serious implications, but it certainly is fun.

Am looking forward to using viNe.

*Why is the N in viNe uppercase?

<description>We run an expat site in Italy about our personal experiences. Posts are regularly geotagged and anyway we travel a lot.

Showing off those trips would be great. Merging with Sportstracker and Friend View would be even better as the usage is 80% overlapping. :)
