		<description>I thought of this idea some time back and wondered if it was ever going to happen, and it looks like it is.

As I comute on a day to day basis in and out of London using the A1 which links the north to the south, should any traffic problems happen on route up ahead, and I get stuck in it, a huge sigh followed by a small ammount of frustration fills my soul as had I known about the traffic jam I could take a different route.
Instead I, like so many other drivers, have to sit and wait it out.

A system like this would be a fantastic way to inform people of the impending danger ahead and have us all home for dinner on time.

If such a system was available in the UK i would without hesitation use this.
