@wanda, Wanda, You are a phoney. You just copied the first message and adjusted some few parts. If you have something to say about the N 97, Dont repeat what the others have said, You can just agree with their opinion…

I have been waiting for this phone, about time Nokia went into touch screens, but I think I will be waiting for the N98 (or N99) whichever one is the first to abandon the slide out keyboard input device. Having a slide is like saying we are not confident enough in touch screens. The only effect of these sliders is to at least double the depth of the phone.

The phone looks ok.
I’m very pleased that they finally made a black version of a phone and not ruin it by combining the black with a silver edge (or lots of silver buttons).
Still, I think the keyboard look kinda crappy. I’ll have to check when it hits stores later this year.
And I pray to god they finally invested in better batteries. I doubt that will be the case (but I’ll keep hoping).
They have some convincing to do if they want me to buy this…

i think that u guys did a good job to make the n97 but u should have a 8.7 megapixel. i also want to know if the volume of the n97 speakers is increased or the same as n96 or is the volume is decreased to lower version. i want you guys to make good money at it and also i want you guys to put the price low in New York cause noT that many will afford it if you sell ut for 1,000$ or 800$. i just reccomend first when it comes out put iT on sale

Please stop this nonsense about X-megapixel cameras.
5 megapixel is optimal number as it has been shown numerous times for digital cameras. Increasing the pixel number while keeping the sensor size constant results in smaller pixel sizes. This has only detrimental effects: noise level is increased. Manufacturers have to resort then to noise filtering which reduces overall resolution and produces artefacts. Overall the effect is in *reduced* picture quality which is crazy. One has to notice that on the high-end prosumer and professional camera side knowledgable people started petitions protesting the increase in the number of pixels. In the pop consumer segment the pixel race continues and the recent crop of 12 megapixel cameras is widely recognized to suffer from decreased picture quality.

i’ve waited for this upcoming type of nokia Nseries… but i hope it’s going to come in to indonesia soon…. give us the best price pleaseee… hehehehe…
i kind of agreed that this phone should’ve got an 8.1 MP of camera, coz if it’s only 5 MP it’s just like the same like the last Nseries…

for the n97 u should of put 8.1 megapixels..
5 megapixel is like for all the last n series..
that’s a little bit dessapointed.
