Nokia 5800 to land in London this month
By James on 07 January 2009
LONDON, England – The 5800 will be hitting the Nokia flagship stores in Regent Street and Heathrow Terminal 5 on Friday 23rd – a little over two weeks from now. We said it’d be a hot topic for 2009, but even we didn’t expect it to heat up this quickly. What’s more, it’s available to pre-order from today on Nokia.co.uk and available from Friday 30th January from Vodafone, O2, Orange, T-Mobile UK, Virgin Mobile, Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U.
The 5800, which will go on sale exclusively in the two Nokia flagship stores at 10am on the 23rd, will be available for £249 sim free. We’ve written plenty about the 5800, including a brief overview and our very own hands on video which you can watch here. Just the other day we had our piece on the 5800 facing some tough tests – the videos are well worth a few minutes of your time.
We’re really excited about the arrival of the 5800 in the UK. No word yet on whether there’ll be a Comes with Music version – it looks like at launch it’ll just be the device on its own.

I have mine pre-ordered and look forward to receiving it.
It’s unfair that it’s only available a week early from the London stores. What about people in the north of the country? We do have Nokia store in the north!

Good news here news James.
I think its great that Nokia are releasing this handset early in their Flagship stores to get a heads-start on other high street stores and with that lower then expected price tag, this will be a great seller.

Hi guys, great news, I’ll be sure to waiting at the Regent St Store at 10am! One question though, on the UK Online Store it states the date is 23rd FEBRUARY, so which is it?
