Comes With Music foundations laid for rest of Europe
By Mike on 22 January 2009
GLOBAL – Comes With Music burst into the world screaming to the tune of millions of songs with unlimited downloads to keep, and is now maturing from a mildly misunderstood infant to a mature all-you-can-devour music download service in the UK. With this in mind Nokia has been working to cement rock solid foundations for rolling out Comes With Music across Europe, announcing new pan-European licensing deals with Universal Music Publishing Group, Sony/ATV Music Publishing and CELAS/EMI Music Publishing.
Read on for more info on the Comes With Music roll-out and to get the full lowdown on what the service is all about.
Slated to spread globally in 2009, Comes With Music is primed to launch next in Singapore and Australia early this year, with a bunch of major European countries next in line, although no official launch dates for CWM have yet been inked in the diary as of yet.
If you’re coming to Comes With Music cold, here are a few videos that explain how Nokia’s new unlimited music download service works.

I like the idea of CWM but in practice it’s not suitable for me.
What I would like to see is a CWM licence that you pay a one off fee for, for example £40, which I can then use with all my various phones or whenever I get a new phone.
You could stop people abusing the system by making sure it only works with your current phone number/sim card.
I would certainly be willing to pay for a service like this and i’m sure many others would too.
