Nokia’s “Ovi Store 101 for Developers” video previews
By JBC on 01 April 2009
SAN FRANCISCO, USA – If you’re a developer waiting to get your software and content on the Ovi Store, then you’ll be pleased to know that not only can you start publishing now, but Nokia’s also put together a video walkthrough, to take you through the process. The store is due to go live in May but it’s accepting content from today so registered publishers will be able to start uploading their apps.
The video walkthrough takes you through the process of creating and distributing content and applications through the Ovi Store. Learn how to become a publisher on Ovi, submit content, get access to Forum Nokia developer support tools and resources and much more. Content can be uploaded in a variety of formats.
Rob Taylor, head of Forum Nokia says:
“Ovi Store will present a tremendous business opportunity to software developers worldwide. This “Ovi Store 101 for Developers” video gives developers a quick preview of the process and the resources available to them for creating, distributing and monetizing their content to a truly global marketplace using the Ovi Store platform.”

There seems to be an issue with YouTube today. Don’t know about you, but I’m not having luck.
If you click on the video, you’ll go to its page on YouTube and might have better luck there.
A shame, since this video is pretty informative.
In the mean time, I’ll be checking to see if it can be fixed.

It doesn’t cease to intrigue me why is Nokia using You Tube to post videos, when you have Share on Ovi. Or when you use Google Maps for your mash-ups when you have Maps on Ovi. Isn’t the whole idea to start promoting what Ovi has to offer?

@ Poly
That’s an interesting question, I ask myself about that all the time. Why do I see Youtube videos instead of Share on Ovi videos here?!
Come on..
