I can’t wait to have a N97 in my hands, I just wonder why the camera is only 5mp and not 8 for ex.. Isn’t it going to be kind of outdated when it comes to market?!

    Hey Carlos Silva,

A lot of cameras that employ higher than 5mp cameras do not have the software that supports such high resolution. Meaning, even if they take pictures with an 8mp that has crappy rendering software, the 5mp of Nokia (since the N82 model) will still be significantly better.

stop worrying about the mega pixels! the amount of mega pixels only determines what size the image can be printed. if you feel you want to blow up your cellphone pictures into poster size prints then you need 8 mega pixels or higher. after about 5-6 mega pixels the difference can no longer be seen on a screen.

i hope the battery life is exeptionaly higher than the previous high end models of the N-series. the specs are promising, but the they also mean a higher battery comsumption… wich CAN result in another disapointment. anyways, i can’t wait to try it out for myself. especialy the camera is promising whit a 5 MP, f/2.8 lens. that awesome, that means the phone has to be better than my 8.1 MP f/5.6 cybershot. btw, any release dates for the Netherlands ?
