S60 Twitter app poll: Can Twibble, Stew, Dabr or now Twittix defy Gravity?
By Mike on 01 May 2009
GLOBAL – The S60 Twitter app on everyones lips (or rather beaks) at the moment is the quite brilliant Gravity. It’s interface is extremely clear, and it’s tough not to get suckered in by its velvet-smooth transitions and ease of use. That said it’s a paid-for S60 Twitter app and one of the pricier ones. But with this week’s emergence of the smart new Twittix S60 app (pictured), which is the highest flier of all S60 Twitter apps? Is Twibble the wind beneath your tweeting wings (it has recently been updated with new features)? Or Stew for the Nokia 5800 or Dabr? Is there some other S60 Twitter app we haven’t heard about that deserves shouting about? Let us know your favourite in our new S60 Twitter app poll below.
What’s you’re favourite Twitter app? We’ve listed the most prominent S60 Twitter apps and put them in alphabetical order, so take your pick and click.

On the 5800 XpressMusic nothing can beat Gravity, kinteic scrolling and best UI of all my installed apps (also non-twitter apps)!

Nothing Beats Gravity. It is one of the best twitter app for Nokia 5800, especially the kinetic scrolling.
I have a small doubt though, Isn’t Dabr a website and a misfit in the above category? Correct me if I am wrong.

Dabr works so well that I haven’t had the impetus to try any of the native apps.

I’m still a big fan of Dabr. Its free and it works well.
Gravity is great and all, but since I dont have a Credit card, I have no way to purchase it.

My personal choice:
Gravity for my S60 5th edition.
Twibble for my S60 3rd edition.
You forgot to mention “Snaptu” in your poll, which is free and has a Twitter client, too.

There’s a nice and simple new client called Tweets60 just out in beta by a Manchester company called Ravensoft.

When you launch Gravity, you get a view of the last time you updated it. Other clients show a blank view until you connect. Plus, @Janole (Gravity’s creator), is setting a new standard in updating and adding features. It really is phenomenal. Just two reasons to shell out the ~10$ for it.

snaptu is a pretty neat app.it’s neat and simple but still maintains all the basic twitter functions.dabr is not bad either considering u have a choice of 4 color themes and also a very nice feature of viewing twitpics directly on the timeline itself instead of going through the hassles of browsers and all. if u don’t have money to buy Gravity or Twittix. i think these two are great subs.

Twibble works fine for me. although Gravity is fantastic & very user-friendly, but it costs too much! uBerTwitter is free for all Blackberry users & it’s very unfair that such a service does not exist for Nokia phones. i’m disappointed.
