Nokia 7020 shimmers into view
By JBC on 18 May 2009
GLOBAL – The Nokia 7020 marries materials and technology to bring a new layer of style to design-conscious phone users. Available in a range of colours, the 7020 mixes light, colour and metal finishes to give the device a more personal feel whilst a unique effect alerts users to a new call or message. On the outside of this fold device sits a hidden second screen, which bursts into view when a new call or message is received.
Available towards the end of 2009, for an estimated €90 (before taxes and subsidies) the Nokia 7020 boasts a neat feature set and bright 2.2-inch display. With a two megapixel camera, FM radio and MP3 player the device is plenty capable. it comes pre-loaded with a selection of apps including Nokia Life Tools, Ovi Share and Ovi Store, Nokia Messaging, Opera Mini browser, Nokia Maps. What’s more, key social networking sites such as Facbook, MySpace and YouTube come pre-bookmarked and the device can take up to 16GB microSD cards.
The battery, too, is impressive with up to 15 days standby time and 4.5 hours talk-time. It’s the external display though that brings this device to life. The all-new stardust effect is an animation that appears when you interact with the normally hidden external display. This will appear automatically when you receive a call or text, but users can also bring it to life by simply tapping twice on the external display.
And who said you couldn’t get stylish on a budget?
