The Nokia N97 Members Club

By Charlie on 29 May 2009

ESPOO, Finland – It’s almost June! We are pretty sure you all are as excited as we are for the Nokia N97’s imminent release into the wild. Indeed, for the really keen, there’s a Nokia N97 Members Club specifically for folks to get exclusive access to the latest news and a bunch of freebies.

With N97 fever growing here at the office, we asked around to see how the Club was doing and what else it might have. Read on for more details.

The skinny
At the start of May, the Nokia N97 pre-order pages were opened up. There, folks from Germany, Italy, UK, USA, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and of course, Finland, have been able to not only pre-order their N97, but to also get on a mailing list from the Nokia N97 Members club.

Thousands of people have already signed up for the club. I think one big draw is that members have the chance of winning a Nokia N97. But Club members also get advance notice of things related to the N97. For example, Club members were the first to see the “Making of..” video (see below, in case you’ve missed it).

Have any of you signed up for the Nokia N97 Members Club? What do you think? Have any of you pre-ordered the N97? What are you doing to keep from going loopy with all that wait?

In the meantime, we’re just going to watch the “Making of…” video again and sit on our hands to contain our enthusiasm for a bit longer.

    @LuckyLuke, It’s shipping. http://conversations.nokia.com/2009/06/02/video-nokia-n97-is-shipping-and-we-have-proof/

    But, there are a mix of factors determining the roll out schedule (operators, market dynamics, etc).
