GLOBAL – Following on from yesterday’s introduction of our look at other Nokia blogs, we have the gamers’ favourite – n-gage. The n-gage blog offers the latest games charts every week along with a host of reviews round ups and the latest n-gage gaming news. The top 5 games post is a weekly chart which does what it says, helping to highlight the most popular games that week. Information on new games and games development is offered up regularly and the full archive goes right back to 2006.

GLOBAL – Fancy getting your hands on an N97 for free, nowt, nada? Thought so. Online as it happens is a new Nokia campaign site designed to raise awareness of the Internet as it happens and how widgets can help bring it to life on your device. With more than 200,000,000 websites on the Internet now, it’s getting harder to find and access the information you want. Widgets can help, particularly on your mobile.
More a bit of fun than a serious widget creating device, the effects can be quite funny, as you’ll see from our own creation at the end of the story. Taking part is easy, it only takes a few minutes to create something quite cool and when you’re done you can share it with friends, or add it to your blog. What’s more, the winning widgets will be turned into mobile widgets and made available through Ovi Store.

GLOBAL – July is typically a quiet month here at Conversations (well, it was last year) so to see us through we’ve got a whole series of features to keep us busy for the month (which we are well aware, doesn’t start until Wednesday, but we like to start stuff on a Monday).

GLOBAL – There’s no shortage of ways to get more from your Nokia and whether you’re a tech novice or a tech expert, there’s always something new you can do. Whilst tech novices can dip into the Ovi Store for application and extension treats, the more hardcore can simply write their own apps, like Didier Stevens did recently. He scribed a simple time lapse photography python script which does exactly what it says on the tin. The script dips into the camera application on S60 and takes a snap every minute until you tell it to stop. Didier’s done two time lapse videos which I reckon have turned out pretty cool. UK – This time last week the Nokia N97 officially stepped onto UK turf, debuting in the Nokia flagship store in London alongside the new N86. Following a week of exclusive sales through Nokia stores, today the N97 goes on sale via a number of UK networks, and as we reported in our ‘How much is your phone?‘ piece a couple of weeks ago, there are some stunning deals to be snapped up should you have fallen for Nokia’s latest flagship handset.
