UK networks amplify Nokia N97 appeal
By Mike on 26 June 2009
UK – This time last week the Nokia N97 officially stepped onto UK turf, debuting in the Nokia flagship store in London alongside the new N86. Following a week of exclusive sales through Nokia stores, today the N97 goes on sale via a number of UK networks, and as we reported in our ‘How much is your phone?‘ piece a couple of weeks ago, there are some stunning deals to be snapped up should you have fallen for Nokia’s latest flagship handset.
Read on for more details on a couple of the best UK offerings we’ve spotted so far, and if you find any others share them here.
Best N97 bundles on our UK radar >>
3 store – Nokia N97 (Free with 18-month contract starting at £35 per month)
On the 3 store it says this offer is valid until 30th June. I went through the sign up process and indeed you can get the device for free on a £35 a month contract. In terms of what you receive for signing up, on the Mix & Match 300 plan it says you get 300 anytime/any network minutes or 300 texts (any mixture of the two). Plus, there’s 300 free minutes on 3 to 3 calls, as well as free Skype-to-Skype calls.
Vodafone – Nokia N97 (Free with 24-month contract starting at £40 per month)
So with this deal you get the handset for zero cost, and a the monthly contract equips you with 1200 anytime minutes and unlimited texts, but it is a 24 month contract, so will require you to sign up for a long stretch.
If you’ve seen any other deals worth highlighting post them here. Not just for the UK either – if the N97 has touched down in your country share your finds in the comments section below.

Nightmare! Three are a disgrace!
From their website “Packages available to new approved customers. ”
In otherwords – loyal customers can kiss their ass.
Ahh well – I guess I’ll have to swap networks. Three coverage in the UK has been ropey anyways…
