N-gage.. is dead.,just lingering.
Its not running at its full potential - not even close to half of it.
The Nokia executives that go to all these big conferences talking how great and wonderful the N-platform is and its games, have they really played *all* those games. Or maybe just the ones that look nice/colourful to them. The large crop of these n-gage games are just nasty ports ,with little or no innovation involved. What happen to all the HW acceleration games you guys were lauding about ,months ago, to be present in N-gage 2.0. Less than 8 nokia devices even Have the GPU.
The venerable n-gage titles of old are no more, and even the ones that survived to the 'new age' don't do the platform enough justice to make the difference.
Development cycle is so darn tedious coding via symbian ,compared to some other *cough* platform with an "i".
i Hope Nokia has a good future strategy for mobile gaming. Cuz to many, n-gage is more or less an innocous threat to other rivals/competitors in the mobile gaming industry. - almost like the valiant hero in this mobile gaming future/story is. . still sleeping.
