Why are the facebook and accuweather apps not in the ovi store?

If you remove them from the N97 or reset it for any reason they disappear.

Please add them to the store!

Also why is the new v11 firmware not available for the UK unbranded models, direct from the nokia store?

    Sort it out!

@Quietness, To answer your first question I have already spoken to Nokia Care about this as the N97 only has 73MB on the C: drive (Phone Memory pre-install) compared with 133MB in the N95 8Gb. They have then installed all of the bundled apps/widgets on to the C: drive resulting in the users only having c.30MB available on receipt of the phone. I have been in the process of hunting down all of the uninstallable apps on the net to uninstall them from the C: drive (Phone Drive) and re-insatll them to the E: drive (Mass Memory) as they should have been in the first place. You can see my progress over at http://www.N97geeks.com. So far I have copies of Facebook, YouTube, AccuWeather V1(but need V2), Bloomberg, AP News, but still need Amazon.com.

Too answer your second question I see the fact that these apps are not on OVI too.

Love the phone though now that I’ve made teh space on the C: Drive.

Also if you use something like Active file you will find a 1.8MB video file on you C: drive that you can move to the E: Drive and a copy of the Mail for Exchange file on you C: Drive which if moved to the E: Drive will save another c.1.5MB.

Ovi Store is one of Nokia’s biggest failures. I hope they get back on their feet… Things are still going missing from the store, and even when you select “Show newest” it still shows the old rubbish that no one cares about. If you try and go through the entire store, you can’t find as much as if you were to search specific terms (ie the news.com.au app).

    Dissapointing Nokia… Lift your game.

Hi mbrett – I have had a problem with the facebook app and subsequently uninstalled it. I haven’t been able to find a copy of the app as it is no longer listed in the OVI store. Where did you managed to get a hold of your copy
