Nokia 3720 classic – rugged phone video montage and hands-on
By Mike on 09 July 2009
GLOBAL – This week we’ve screened a series of videos that saw us put the Nokia 3720 classic rugged phone in a collection of purposely clumsy and rather painful situations. Nokia’s new tough phone has indeed been brave, standing up to our unscientific ‘real world’ tests, that were as fun to make as we hope they are to watch.
Now we’ve chopped all the videos together into a short montage of the ouch moments suffered by the new Nokia 3720 classic rugged phone. Plus, we’ve created another video hands-on to give you a close up look at the tough little caller in the flesh. Watch both videos right here…
PLEASE NOTE – DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPLICATE ANY OF THE SCENARIOS SHOWN IN THE VIDEOS ON THIS PAGE. THE SCENARIOS SHOWN IN THESE VIDEOS ARE EXTREME AND WHILST THE RESULTS SHOWN ARE GENUINE, THEY ARE NOT MEANT TO DEMONSTRATE COMPLIANCE WITH ANY PUBLISHED PHONE SPECIFICATION.

Wow… This is my next cellphone, for sure… I have a MOTOFONE F3 right now, so this will be a huge upgrade for me. I’m impressed.

how about holding the phone in the hand then have a 10 wheeler truck run it over, very likely to happen in reality, lets see if the phone still works after a heavy load and a splash of blood all over haha, kidding

This is a downgrade from Nokia 5500 sport, I was ufor an upgrade but I will have to look elsewhere, the 5500 was series 60 and had all the same feature plus speed meter, calorie meter and other things, I thought the new one will be 3g

I don’t agree…the 3720 isn’t meant to be a 5500 replacement. Yes, it’s a tough phone, but it’s Series 40 so has a much faster responsive operating system. Series 60, although more advanced, is slow to use. I’m replacing my Nokia E52 with this, and I’m well impressed…
