moneyBOSTON, USA – While everyone is over in Stuttgart for Nokia World, I’m stuck on this side of the world, following things online. What’s more, I just realized that last week was quite busy, despite being the week before Nokia’s biggest event. Three devices in three categories were launched last week (recapped below) and one service (a service?). Alas, we chose to focus our efforts last week on the devices, since they demanded the most of our energy to write, video, and follow.

Today, before everything gets buried in Nokia World news, I’d like to give the wee service the attention it is due. So, keep reading to learn more about this new service.

nokia-twitterSTUTTGART, Germany – Heyyy all! Just arrived to blue skies and +27C (80F) temperatures in beautiful Stuttgart. Finland just began getting chilly, so it’s nice to journey south and keep the summer spirits for a little while longer.

Just to let you know – I’ll be rockin’ the Nokia Conversations Twitter channel throughout the entire week, so be sure check in regularly for all the latest up-to-the-second news, updates, highlights and a little of my own personal commentary. Hope you’ll all enjoy!

And don’t forget to follow the #NW09 hashtag for all the Nokia World discussions from around the globe.

Glass-half-fullGLOBAL – It’s been another great week for comments here on Conversations, so thanks to all of you that continue to get stuck in and keenly chew the fat on all things Nokia related. This week’s winning comment struck a chord and earned the first-place rosette thanks to its optimism, insight and experience… plus, it made us feel pretty good.

Read on to find out who has won this week’s copy of our favourite S60 Twitter app, Gravity.

Nokia-N900-8ESPOO, Finland – The Nokia N900 has just leapt out of the depths and is primed to make a splash as Nokia’s debut Maemo device (sorry, couldn’t resist the fishy metaphor). In terms of where the N900 sits on Nokia’s newly broadened product spectrum – courtesy of this week’s introduction of the Booklet 3G – it bridges that wilderness between smartphone and compact laptop. The concept behind the N900 simply being that it enables you to experience a proper desktop-like experience in a pocket-size device.

We’ve gathered all the must-know details and snaps of Nokia’s first Linux-based Maemo handset. Click through to find out more and to see the N900 up close in our photo gallery.
