Shazam free on Ovi Store
By JBC on 18 August 2009
LONDON, UK – Lucky music fans will be able to snag a free copy of Shazam from inside Ovi Store between now and November 30. The promotion is running to celebrate the recent launch of the N97 and is running on a limited first-come-first served basis.
At the end of the trial period users will be able to continue using a limited version of the app or upgrade to the full version for £4 (€5, depending on location). Read on for more details.
The app works seamlessly with Nokia Music Store, enabling you to buy and download music as soon as its identified by Shazam. Users can identify music from anywhere including radio, TV, film or in a store by simply holding their device towards the music and selecting ‘Tag Now’.
The app will be available for S60 5th edition devices and many S60 3rd edition FP1 and 2 devices such as the N95 range and the E71.

I used it some time ago (when it was for free), and i was impressed on its success on finding tags..
I tried almost everything, including alternative music (the kind that doesn’t sell a lot) and it found 9 of 10 +-..
But still, it’s not free. It’s trial.

“Shazam free” … “At the end of the trial period [...] upgrade to the full version for £4″
Now do tell me: since when did £4 become free? Trial is not the same as “for free.”

I love music and when a good song plays, I more often than not ask who the artist and the Album is… in many instances, I have found myself to be annoying to the DJ whenever my favorite track is played. Those days are now over.
I recently discovered the Shazam Music identifier Software for my Nokia N97 and this is by far the greatest software development that has dazzled my intellect. With the Shazam on my phone I need not bother the DJ or ask. The software picks the track and lyrics.. What happens there after is a detailed report that comes out in seconds showing Track, Artist, Album and etc…. Cool Stuff.. I give it 5 stars ***** for this invention..
So…..gone are the days When I’d walk into the club or just a party and become a Musical nuisance. The Sharzam on my Nokia N97 is just a big plus for a music enthusiast just like me….
You can get the same on the Nokia E71,Nokia E75 express music 5800 and other Models that have the Download facility…
