Nokia Booklet 3G video… guaranteed to give you goosebumps
By Mike on 24 August 2009
GLOBAL – Today’s unveiling of the Nokia Booklet 3G has triggered a seismic wave of excitement (our server is black and blue, so apologies if you experienced an interrupted service on Conversations earlier – we’re still patching it up with digital plasters). But as we’re gluttons for punishment we’ve also got a goosebump-inducing promo video of the Nokia Booklet 3G up close, in action and draped in specs. If you haven’t seen it, you’ll want to make sure you spare a couple of minutes to soak it up – the soundtrack really sets it off too. So click through to watch the full video right here…

One question that I’ve been asked a few times already… Who is the composer of the track?

We’ve done some digging and the track was written for Nokia by a guy called Douglas Black Heaton – http://www.douglasblackheaton.com – He’s from England and works out of Finland. Great tune isn’t it!

the news yesterday was big, way to big for Nokia Conversations to handle
anyways, its good to see Nokia coming up with a booklet because it will help solidify their mobilephone market.
as i twitted last night, i actually thought the first mini laptop from Nokia would be running a Meamo OS and that it would also be a touchscreen device with keyboard, somewhat like a magnified N97 with a slide up screen. never heard of a touchscreen laptop yet and i thought it would be nokia who will create it first.

IBM has had touch screen laptops for years. You can use a stylus or your fingers. It’s never been really accepted in the marketplace as who wants a shinny screen full of fingerprints when you’re watching a DVD on a plane?

I want Maemo or Symbian for larger screens. I’m all for having Nokia competing against Microsoft *and* Apple (and we know that only Nokia could make hardware as slick as Apple).
