Photos of new Nokia EVO Store in Dubai
By Phil on 18 September 2009
DUBAI, UAE – It seems like every new building opened in Dubai is increasingly impressive – so it’s quite fitting that Nokia’s first ever EVO Concept Store would make its debut in the UAE’s most populous state. Opening its doors on 09.09.09 and inaugurated by Sheikh Mohammed himself, you’ll find it in the new metro link extension of the Mall of Emirates.
“Solutions” is the buzz word around Nokia at the moment, and is at the heart of each EVO store which represents the latest generation of Nokia’s stores. In it you’ll find more live demos, a highly trained staff who can further train and educate consumers on Nokia’s latest solutions.
Enjoy a few photos below of the new store!

Welcome! You’ve arrived too early though…

Ahh…much better

Elegant interior design

Devices and big screens, quite common in all Nokia stores

Have the staff activate your Ovi services right in the store!

Don’t forget to pay on the way out

I don’t like it. Looks like a lab.
The products on the shelves still look too intimidating to touch.
Just being honest here.
C’mon Nokia you’re better than this!
Also, where’s the firmware upgrade for N97
and the mac support!?

Sorry guys, don’t know about the E72
I want mine too. I think the E71 was the best phone I’ve ever had. E75 was a close second.

Well it would seem that Nokia is beginning to take notice that the shopping experience is apart of the ownership of a phone. Its the window that invites your users to the family of like users, feeling apart of a larger whole, part of the party, the crowd. This begins the ownership and continues to quelch any issues one can have when taking back your phone for repairs or looking for an upgrade.
They’ve noticing what has caused Apple over 60% year over year growth in their computing market and 12% year over year on their iPhone lineup: Apple Stores (retail stores where users can walk in).
Nokia now needs to FULLY integrate their OVI services overings. No more part & parcel.
