Poll: How many apps are you running?

By JBC on 29 October 2009

ovi-storeGLOBAL – This week Ovi Store snagged an update which saw a much improved search and the ability to redownload premium content for the device it was bought on. That got us thinking, how many apps have you folks downloaded and installed on your device? Be an interesting thing to work out. It’s a pretty simple question, until you start thinking about it. I’m not actually sure what the answer is (I updated the software on my E71 recently and wiped a bunch of good, but simple apps, I had on there). Right now it contains three apps, though there are two others missing which I definitely need to replace (when I get time) as I relied on them. But I know I’ve downloaded more than that. So perhaps we need some guidelines for the voting. The question relates only to your current device, and apps that are currently installed on that device. For the community, it’d be awesome if you share the device model you use and the apps you’ve downloaded in the comments below. Happy voting!

Got more than 40 if you consider Themes, Ringtones, eBooks as applications. Aren’t they?

Got all FREE apps since we don’t have paid application here in my country yet.

But anyways, Best things in Life are FREE! ;-)

    Installed is not running.

I run about 11 separate applications on my E71 at any given time. I have over 50 installed.

That’s a valid point Simon. I’d suggest though that we all have apps installed which we don’t run every day. But isn’t the same true of apps on your computer? It certainly is mine. There’re apps which you’ll try, but their usefulness is short-lived and so quickly become redundant. There are others though, which spend 99% of the time doing nothing, but spark up when the occasion requires them to.

I’m keen to know which are the 11 you’re running at the minute.

I have many apps on my phone, but 95% I used opera, nimbuzz, worldmate, the nokia web browser.

The other 5% (beside e-mail, sms, camera… pre-installed apps) is game. I download a couple of free/demo game, and so far have found no game that could really be counted as addictive enough.
