GLOBAL – Nseries Portraits looks at how mobile devices are used by artists to interact with their world. The latest in the series (we covered Brazilian designer, Marcelo, back in September) features creator of the show Food Party, Thu Tran. The multimedia artist, who has a real bent for food, turns her hand to wide variety of disciplines, right down to making all the props for her online show, Food Party. That show has developed such a cult following, TV networks have picked it up.
GLOBAL - With Ovi Store the apps never stop coming, and the folks over at MyDailyApp.com have taken it upon themselves to write about an exciting new app each and every day. Every week is guaranteed to give us something new, even when we think we’ve seen it all, and this week is no exception.
It’s time to look back at the best of the bunch from last week, and it’s another mercurial mix of the practical, the useful and the entertaining.
GLOBAL - When we started looking through the staggering number of photos people have taken on their Nokia N95s and uploaded to Flickr, we were so swamped with great photos that we decided we couldn’t possibly do them justice by picking just 10. So we decided to showcase this Nokia legend over two weeks. In truth, that’s not nearly doing justice to the quality on offer either, but there are plenty of other Nokia handsets waiting for a piece of the limelight too, so we have to draw the line somewhere.
