The Way We Live Next

By JBC on 10 November 2009

Nokia-house-snowESPOO, Finland – We’re in Nokia HQ for this year’s future-looking event, The Way We Live Next. Running for the third time, the second at Nokia House, we have an exciting line up of speakers this morning. Mary McDowell, Nokia’s chief development officer is kicking things off and giving an overview of what’s happening on a global level.

Later on we have more speakers taking us through what’s happening with Forum Nokia, the Symbian Foundation, Maemo and this afternoon, Nokia’s chief technology officer, Henri Tirri talking to us about the future research going on at Nokia.

Kicking things off we have an interesting stat: the number of texts sent on Nokia devices would equal the complete works of Shakespeare. Makes you think, huh?

We’ll be back shortly with a rundown on what Mary has to say. Meanwhile, enjoy the snap of this morning’s fresh snow in Finland. If you want to watch what’s happening live, check out Symbianoid’s live Twitter page.
