Poll: What impressed you most about Nokia in 2015?
By JBC on 18 November 2009
GLOBAL – The Way We Live Next 3.0 event held last week at Nokia HQ in Espoo, Finland, gave us some insight into the future as Nokia sees it. From the Nokia devices that will bring the cloud to life, what the future holds for Symbian, Nokia’s efforts to drive open innovation around the world, and the opportunities for the future identified by trend research, we weren’t short on stuff to talk, or write about. One thing jumped out though, both at the time and since we come back. The 2015 video has definitely been the star of the show, clocking up over 140,000 views since we revealed it last week.
The five-minute video paints a picture of life in 2015 and the Nokia devices and services that will be at the heart of our lives in the future. The video was filled with tantalising glimpses of exciting and innovative technologies, but we’d love to know which single innovation excited you the most.
If you need a reminder, here’s the video again:

Well No comments so far.
This is what i think of the above solutions:
So far identifying contacts has the highest vote, but i wouldn’t give it too much importance. I would like my memory to take care of that instead of depending too much on technology for such a case.
For me most exciting is watching TV with friends and sharing data streams between devices especially if you have friends in other country.
What is Nokia key actually? I didn’t understand much abt it?
Regarding Intelligent search, i don’t think Nokia should spend resources on that as no matter what they do, Google/Msft etc will do better in search than Nokia.
Projecting movies from device should not be left till 2015, it should happen at the max by 2011 as i have seen some devices already that have PMP and pico projector inbuilt and i am sure someone will introduce projector in phone real soon. 2015 is too far.
Making money from OVi Store is a very good idea and i would like that, but again, that needs to happen before 2015, not so late. 3 yrs at the max.
I wouldn’t prefer direct banking on my phone unless out of necessity.

What impressed me the most? Well, the concept device portfolio demonstrating the services was mouth watering, especially at 4 min 5 secs where the device seams to become more real. The services are all gradually going to be part of our daily lives and if Nokia decides to lead this emergence it would be great for us Nokia enthusiasts.
Unfortunately Nokia has a tendency to delay, delay, delay. It would be amazing if Nokia could announce a service after it is ready to be used, instead of announcing it way before its ready to hit the market. By the time the solution has been fabricated, another company is usually offering the same solution to pick up and play with immediately.
The ideas of 2015 are great and I’m looking forward to the future of Nokia.

I reckon the most impressive thing about Nokia devices in 2015 will be that email will almost match the iPhone’s in 2008
Then again, have you seen the standard email client on an N97 mini?
5 years might not be long enough.
