Hi I bought a used N97 from E bay, it was locked to 3 mobile, and its charging port was lose so price was really good, the 3 mobile contract was long over, asked 3 Mobile UK for the code to unlock it, “no you have to be our client”, as I am living in Finland how can I be? Why would I want to be?(they sounded as though they never heard of the EU or my rights as an EU citizen. Contacted Nokia asked them for the code they said you have to deal with 3 Mobile, and just kept writing Goobledygook, they had the cheek to say the original owner got the phone at a cheaper price, I told them that 3 Mobile more than recoverd the cost from the phone charges and I am the new owner so that contract is over they had no intention of giving any support or solution. So I found a N97 mother board from e bay unlocked, changed it for the 3 M one and could make calls only to find that as it was with vodaphone but unlocked there are still links in the phone that cannot be changed and keep trying to take me to Vodaphone in Holland, good old Nokia and Vodaphone have hijacked its functions like the Pirates the they are. So the only wisdom I can give here is Capitalism sucks, it is a rip off which depends on unreasonable, unproductive criminal practices against the People and common sense. “The bitter sea has no shore” Chinese proverb
