USA – When the Nokia C3 launched in Indonesia just last month, there were queues of thousands around the block to pick one up. Now, this very popular and affordable QWERTY device is making its way to AT&T pre-pay customers in the USA. On sale from Sunday, October 3, the device will retail for $79.99 at Wal-Mart stores nationwide.

According to IDC, Prepaid Subscribers will comprise approximately 19% of the total US market by the end of 2010, and will continue to grow faster than postpaid subscribers. As this market segment grows, the Nokia C3 provides a compact QWERTY device with capabilities sure to appeal to consumers looking for style and function. The Nokia C3 also provides one-touch access to messaging, a built-in FM radio and media player and easy access to AT&T services such as weather and email.

The Nokia Nuron will be coming to T-Mobile USA on pre-pay plans for $129.99. Like its Nokia brethren, Nuron comes with free walk and drive navigation with the increasingly popular Ovi Maps. All the usual connectivity smarts are on board, including its ability to give you near instant access to your favourite social networks. The device will be available through Target stores nationwide initially before expanding to additional T-Mobile authorized retailers.

Globally, Ovi Store has seen more than 2.3 million downloads per day and more than 200,000 new users registered per day. With this momentum and an increasing amount of Ovi users in the US, the Nokia Nuron and Nokia C3 allow consumers direct access to the store for terrific content such as OpenTable, Snaptu and more.
