GLOBAL - We have been getting excellent feedback from consumers on the capabilities of the Nokia N8, but in the last couple of days, a very small number of users have reported that their Nokia N8 is not switching on as it should. Product quality is a top priority for Nokia, so we’d like to take this chance to offer you some clarification on the topic.

As always, normal Nokia warranty rules apply here, so if you encounter any problems with your device, we advise you to contact your local Nokia Care.

    Hi,..this is deepak from bangalore, INDIA..Im using N8 from last 4 months…i’m facing network problem with this phone…N8 shows no signal most of the time…and some times when i restart the phone it shows “phone start up failed”. it wont allow me to pick calls sometimes…no use of re-installing the software…what should i do????

    Definitely I wouldn’t like to change my ever reliable choice of using Nokia cell phones. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed when yesterday I received on my Nokia N8 Screen the following message: ” Disk error- incapable to complete the writing ” (translated from Portuguese). I have tried everything to solve it: I have made backup; update all the software and started the full recovery. everything was in vain!

    The device is already in the period covered by warranty, but I have the feeling the technical Assistance from Nokia Center won’t decide to give me a brand new N8 device….

    I presume I will abandon Nokia devices because it is not the same brand it was in the past…..

      chances to get a brand new N8 is small. But it probably can be fixed.

    In Nokia Care Bangladesh they could not do it but shamelessly returned it by saying that it is a fault or damage you made by liquid and they show me the liquid – I am sure it is chemical type brown paste, no option to enter by me. They are fraud. They returned my phone without servicing within 4 months of my purchase and 8 months before my guarantee and service support. Now I hate Nokia, I wish every success although.

    My N8 just shut off 2 days ago.  It is not turning ON anymore.  I tried to charge it guessing that it is just a drained battery problem.  But the indicator light at the side is not lighting up also.  I tried to charge it using the usb cable connected to my laptop.  It was not detected also.  I’m really disappointed. I only used this for mobile internet and very rare because i need to use a basic and old 2G mobile without camera on my field work.  Warranty i think is just one year and it was until last week.  This is really bad.  Can anybody advise what to do next aside from going to service center ? Both plastic cover is still on the front and back side.  Maybe this is due to Belle OS? Anybody?
