GLOBAL - DJ Dan McGrath takes a look at the week’s news with his special guest… me. First up is the arrival of a new software update for the Nokia Lumia 800 which promises a number of fixes and enhancements for lucky owners of the new super-phone. Then we have a chat about the feature film, Olive, that’s been shot using a Nokia N8. Lastly, we pool our collective wisdom on what women want and the importance of Nokia’s embrace of diversity. And Dan takes us through the top hits on Nokia Music.

Where oh where oh where is Sports Tracker? Nokia have missed this app a few times since it split from Nokia, but this was originally a Nokia own brand app before the developement team went off on their own.

Can’t wait to see this Lumia 800 update appear in the UK. Looking forward to the battery improvement, although after a few fuul charge discharge cycles I am seeing up to 2 days from the phone at the moment though which is a nice improvement over the out of the box experience.

interesting that your research suggests women want a great out of the box smartphone experience and they don’t bother installing too many 3rd party apps yet nokia scrapped symbian and meego because of the relatively small app ecosystem that it now seems isn’t wanted by most women and i expect many guys think the same too?
