GLOBAL - There was a party atmosphere as the Nokia Lumia 710 went on sale in Taiwan today. People had queued for up to four hours to get their hands on the affordable smartphone.
The first person to buy a Nokia Lumia 710 was loyal customer Ms Kao Nai Xiang – and she loves her new phone.
“I have always had Nokia phones,” she said. “I wouldn’t dream of switching to another brand. I really like the colour of this one.”
Michael Hsu, General Manager of Nokia Taiwan said: “We are glad to be the first to start selling the Nokia Lumia 710.
“From today, customers in Taiwan could enjoy all the benefits brought by Nokia Lumia.
“With such a good response from our consumers, we are confident that Nokia Lumia will be a success here.”
Today’s sales were the first in the global roll-out of the Nokia Lumia 710. The Nokia Lumia 800 is also on sale in Taiwan. The 710 is also now on sale in the USA.
