where are you?

Nokia N9 in white, it seems inspired by iPhone White, but the screen shot I see in this post is not looking full white. However N9 is also a great mobile phone if it comes to features.

In Serbia, as my Disqus profile says. There is quite a number of retailers that are selling the N9 even tho the official Nokia page for Serbia still claims it as coming soon (despite the fact that Serbia was on the initial N9 release list).

Given that it usually takes around two months for any new Nokia headset to appear here, I don’t think that retailers will be stocking on the white version this year.

That being said, I’m quite surprised with the `lowish` prices it has around here, so far the formula used to be Germany/Austria price * 1.2 for the high-end models with some rare exceptions – which is why I’ve purchased most of my Nokia’s in Germany or the Netherlands, or even the UK – now it’s quite the opposite.

err.. as i know, n9 are available at singapore coz i stay at malaysia but i dun c yet the white n9

Wow! That was a nice phone..

Too bad that I bought a HTC phone this summer (which I am not happy with, bad reception..). I would really like to have this Meego phone (why was the lanch so late..?)

I quite sad about Nokias future choice of OS. Nokia makes nice phones, but i don’t want a MS Windows OS.So it looks like – goodby Nokia. I have been a customer of Nokia during the last 10 years.  By choosing Windows Nokia made a mistake.  

However, Nokias last white Meego phone was awsome.

4) It does do bookmarks, it saves them to the launcher screen.
And now that there’s meefolders, you can put your bookmarks in folders.
Plus there’s Fennec and Opera, both officially coming soon.
At the moment they’re both kinda “DIY”.

But the other colors 1st started arriving at retailers/carriers* from about Sept 23rd.

They too were ridiculously late though…

Still no news of where one can buy this ‘white elephant’ white n9, apart from Finland? The last time I checked, the price is actuall 600 Euros.

Isn’t it obvious? …
They’re deliberately constraining distribution.
They’ve been doing that for months now.
They want to keep all the lime-light on the L800.
They don’t want the White N9 stealing any of it.
Soon White L800′s will be far more widespread.

 I’ve sent messages to Nokia’s Board via the corporate site and various other forums – all to get a Nokia N9 but in vain. I have never heard of a company that creates a brilliant product and then proceeds to bury it just to showcase something they think might be upstaged. I have tried every avenue in India but no, it is not available. Truly a shame. I do hope someone in Nokia can read this post/request and make the N9 available. I am sure it will do very well if you provide the slideout qwerty to compete with Motorola’s new Droid 4. Such shame that a company whose products I have used and admired for over 10 years is now not even willing to give its own brilliance a chance.

There’s never been a cyan 64gb “anywhere”….
Except for dodgy rehoused Black 64GB’s in some Asian countries
Just do what I’m doing, buy a black 64GB & then buy the white housing.
That’s the only option I have here in Australia, the white was never sold here too
Other option is specialist importers, surely you have the in your country.
We have specialist online retailers here who import phones not intended for our market.
Many of the specialist retailers here have the white 64GB.
The only downside is that it’s sourced from another country.
So if I need to do a warranty claim, Nokia Australia won’t honor it.
It would need to be returned to the country of origin.
Which is why these specialist retailers normally include 3rd-party warranty cover.

I’m still deciding whether to get it from specialist importer or just buy a black 64gb & buy a white housing.
I’m leaning more towards the latter….

They’ve controlled how well N9 can sell by using many methods over the last 6mth.
Very limited availability of the White N9 (to only several countries) is one of them.
