I’ve been waiting for this official info for so long…..so just 2 months to go for belle!

No Kidding…… Feb 2012?

We were promised that 
widgets will be resizable. Mine are not, they are just movable around, and, yes, 
widgets are in different sizes, but I can’t find out how can I resize any one of them. Is there any tricks?
For example “contacts, single”, I would like to make my contact bigger, but I can’t.

This should not be named as Coming Soon!!! Starting Feb’12 means it can be there on 1st or 29th… First it was said by the end of Q4 then it got changed to Early Jan & not Starting Feb…??? Really confused..

I don’t think we should wait for Nokia Belle (February 2012). Go for Android or IOS. Nokia never keeps their promise and cares about their customers:( Remember they said they would release the update in the fourth quarter? But they have recently confirmed that the update  will be rolled out starting from February 2012. How come can we trust Nokia?

Well the article talks about an “enhanced” version of the n8…does this mean there have been changes/enhancements to the the hardware or is just called “enhanced” because it is delivered with Belle?

Nokia destroyed symbian (epoc-psion) vision back in 2000….choosed the worst part from symbian to develop (s60 non touchscreen ui) back in 2006 (when they  allready had s90 touchscreen OS/UI  capable of run s80 apps)…  playng with development for 10 years to create one good enough touch screen UI (symbian^3 and ,later in 2011, symbian belle ) …..and now they are killing symbian literally……But the question is : WHY ???

So is true Mr Elop is killing symbian …but even so wp7 or 7.x will not sell  even 10 %  of symbian sales

Why Belle in february? Belle already exists on the market and the beta for old symbian^ 3 works just fine.

I do agree that it should be released the same time that N8/C7/etc. are refreshed to everybody that already owns them. I mean, people who already have them will wait for the update, they won’t buy a new device that is the same as their current one, so there is little sense (unless the underlying hardware in those Belle’d N8/C7/C6-01s is somewhat different) not to release the update the same time those devices are released.

That being said, given the prices of the N8 atm., and with Belle on the road, it’s probably the best bang for the buck. Heck, even I’m contemplating on getting one mainly because of the camera, even tho I really cannot go back to Symbian after the fabulous Maemo…

Nokia are just delaying these updates to try to get people feed up waiting for them an then buy the Lumia 800 instead,but Mr Elop an is Nokia gang do not realise that people do not like the restrictions with Windows phones,if you have had a memory card inside your Nokia symbian phone with all your Music an Photos on it you can not put it in the Lumia 800,Mr Elop said it in Febuary “Symbian is Dead an calling this Nokia Belle just shows you he does not wany Symbian related to Nokia,but all he is doing is losing more buyers at Nokia as loads will switch to Android because you customize these phones like Symbian an they accept memory cards an the Samsung Galaxy S2 looks more attractive than the Lumia 800,i bought one myself because Nokia chose Windows

My phone is an unblocked version, there is no need of “cutomization” and let me check something, the NEW phones are coming out of the factory ALREADY with Belle, this phones will be sold worldwide (why first china, well the factory is there) so they already have localized versions in this new phones, they are trying to force the fan base to buy Lumia or other new models, the problem is that the fans will probably go other brand isntead, like Samsung

We the users of E7 and N8 are waiting from almost 3 Months to have belle, I feel Feb 2012 is a long distance to travel.

I think 2 months delay is enough to try new phones like android phones, tablets and iPhone :) Im pretty much sure that before this update comes to our handsets the competing products has something better to offer :)

Why does Nokia force us to twist to get the language we want on our devices? the answer is simple and already there, just make language packets downloadable. Seriously, this is the only thing makes me frustrated with Nokia devices. Hope they listen, don’t wake up when your customers are gone!!!

i paid 28000 for nokia N8, and i enjoyed a lot wit it among my friendz…..but now, my friends are enjoying wit their symbian belle mobiles….Dammmn! i paid 28000/- but they paid only 18000………….whatzzzzzzzzz the Fu**k.

also using the leaked version of Belle on my C7-00, and I can confirm there were some issues when updating to the new homescreen widgets (I had to revert to factory settings, now the homescreen works fine), and I guess this would confirm the rumours about the delay – they still wanted to improve the updating process from Anna (while newly shipped phones with Belle work fine already).

one more thing I really hope will be fixed in the final version: NFC support in the browser!
the contacts application is actually still using NFC Bluetooth Pairing even to transfer a single contact (would be much faster using only NFC! i.e. SNEP, Android Ice Cream Sandwich already supports it, hopefully Nokia will soon, too)

but in the browser, nothing happens yet when touching two C7′s =(
browser version is 7.4.2.6, which is also the latest available on the phones at RDA, so this is actually the latest one already, but doesn’t support nfc yet!? =/

hi guys i really hope that what ever bugs were there with symbian anna will be fixed with symbian belle os as i had a problem at times when sending sms it used to stay in the outbox and said resend after couple of mins but it never used to send until i restarted the mobile, now i have given it for replacement just waiting patiently so that these kinda bugs would get fixed, if that is the case then i’d say that this delay is good for us, the end users ;) :)

Hurray….! Belle finally appears on nokia suite. Update to version 3.3.86 and enjoy installing belle

very late, but good to see. i have it already nearly a half year – from october. during flashing i i dindt lost any data from mass memory (games, photos, apps…) – only contacts had to be copied again from sim.

Do the new Nokia N8 (and/or other, please specify which ones) that already comes with Belle installed from the factory come with updated hardware just like the Nokia 701? By updated hardware I mean any kind of hardware updates, e.g.: 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM and updated GPU with 128MB dedicated memory.

hope belle solves issues with N-8. Can’t use dual network mode, because it keeps restarting if I do. Can only use GSM mode, which is very slow for internet use….Nokia has no solution other than formatting but that does not help.
So here’s hoping for a quick Belle release!

Nokia.. I used to like you earlier for your feature packed products and bringing innovations into the mobile world… but then it started to change…. I started loving Nokia.. I got so used to your phones.. I really didn’t like the idea of switching.. I am not otherwise conservative.. but then, I can’t win an argument these days Nokia.. my pals have been laughing at me for waiting this long for a Symbian Belle update… they have iPhones and Androids  with them.. for each good thing I find in Nokia, they reply me with atleast 3… I am losing the battle..  I told them N9 will turn the world upside down.. its a remarkable phone beautiful inside out..but didnt’ quite rock the world as expected.. anyways.. Nokia.. I am not leaving you anytime soon.. supporting .flv video support.. and i miss it :( the latest update now has
disabled the create playlist option in E6 belle update, please do bring back .flv video support and other comparability .. E6 lacks quality applications.. even after being the top business phone from Nokia it still lacks some quality apps as options in it..
