Nokia booth boasts biggest fans

LAS VEGAS, NV, United States – One of the things that really stands out to me in the Nokia booth is the Nokia employees and their enthusiasm and authentic way of telling the Nokia story.

There are employees from all across Nokia on the booth including folks from marketing, IT, Communications and many other departments. There are also Nokia staff from all over the country (and world), each with passions and exciting stories.

To give more of a story about each employee, we did a fun little survey of them while they manned the booth at the Consumer Electronics Show.

Laura Johnson-Michell, 41, from Irving, Texas

What was your first Nokia phone?

My first phone was the bag phone from the early 90′s – I can’t remember the model, but that thing was a monster.

What’s your favorite Nokia phone of all time and why?

The Nokia N95 because it was the first phone we did that had a Carl Zeiss lens so it took amazing photos and shot smooth video that looked stunning. It was an amazing phone.

Are you a college football fan or a pro football fan?

I’m a college football fan and I love my Texas Tech Red Raiders!  Go Texas Tech!

TeemuTeemu Lehtonen, 43, from Espoo, Finland

What was your first Nokia phone?

My first phone was Nokia 121.

What’s your favorite Nokia phone of all time and why?

The Nokia Lumia 900 because of its fantastic, huge display and it’s support of LTE networks. Also, I love the productivity apps and suite that come with the phone.

Are you a college football fan or a pro football fan?

Being from Finland, I don’t watch American football, my favorite sports are cycling and cross country skiing!

What was your first Nokia phone?

My first phone was the Nokia 2160.

What’s your favorite Nokia phone of all time and why?

I’m so impressed with the Lumia 900, it’s definitely my favorite. I love the stunning uni-body design, the large screen and support for AT&T’s super-fast LTE network.

Are you a college football fan or a pro football fan?

I’m a pro football fan and my team is the Dallas Cowboys.

My first Nokia device was the 6230.

What’s your favorite Nokia phone of all time and why?

Like others, I’m a huge fan of the Lumia 900. I love the whopping big screen and the fact that the phone is very reactive and comes in amazing, vibrant colors.

Are you a college football fan or a pro football fan?

I’m a pro football fan and I love the San Diego Chargers.

What was your first Nokia phone?

My first phone was the banana shaped phone that you have to swipe downward to open. It’s the one that was so popular because it was the one in the Matrix film. I was in Finland and I can’t remember the model.

What’s your favorite Nokia phone of all time and why?

I love the Lumia 800. I’m a fan of the 900 but for my small hands, it’s a tad big. I love the screen and the design of the Lumia 800 – best phone ever.

Are you a college football fan or a pro football fan?

I’m actually a hockey fan and I love my Dallas Stars.

My first phone from Nokia was the 6230.

What’s your favorite Nokia phone of all time and why?

I’m a huge fan of the Lumia 800 because the interface is so easy to use. There aren’t 5 screens you need to access to get to your settings and apps – it’s so intuitive.

Are you a college football fan or a pro football fan?

I’m a college football fan and I am a supporter of the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs.

My first phone from Nokia was the 2110.

What’s your favorite Nokia phone of all time and why?

Oh, the Lumia 900 for sure. I love the Windows Phone experience, the hardware, the usability and that amazing camera.

Which football are you speaking to? I’m a huge soccer fan.

    My first Nokia was a 3210!

    Personally I’m more in love with the Lumia 800 (a cyan, which I own) for its curved screen! I pick it up and stare at it 5 times a day as if it were my newborn baby. Though I wouldn’t mind the 900 either!

    My first Nokia – a 6305i – a slider, with two stereophonic speakers!  I still use it as an alarm.  I currently use a N8, but it will be retired as soon as the Nokia WP Apollo devices hit the U.S. shoreline!

        He/she’s talking about a NOKIA phone. Not a phone which looks like Nokia but has Windows in it. Except for the look, those phones have pretty much nothing to do with Nokia – i had one by myself but gave it back with dissapointement to get an N9 which is a real Nokia phone and much better.

    I had a really special first Nokia phone. The 9300 Communicator, I was 13 or 14. Good times.

      Wow – that’s a pretty high-end spec for a young teenager. I had that phone, too. But I was 35…

    first Nokia 3315 loved playing Snake game in that…..My Favorite Nokia phone is N9…imo N9 is the first Nokia phone with almost perfect hardware and software combination…….I’ll buy nokia’s microsoft phone when it will get wp 8 os somewhere in Q4 of 2012 hopefully

    first Nokia 3315 loved playing Snake game in that…..My Favorite Nokia phone is N9…imo N9 is the first Nokia phone with almost perfect hardware and software combination…….I’ll buy nokia’s microsoft phone when it will get wp 8 os somewhere in Q4 of 2012 hopefully

    My first was Nokia 3100, and the best ones are N95 I can not forget that dual slider it was magic, the 2 big speakers on both sides, the awesome camera cover people thought it was a digital camera …… N8 awesome camera my daily friend….and then the latest nokia lumia 900 (although i am from india and dont know if it will be sold here but i do adore my mom’s lumia 800 …..)
    However I have another favourite that I really kind of crave for the Nokia 900… gr8 phone……

    First was 3110, and after that all my phones were from series 6, 7, 8 or 9 and mostly N category. At the moment best is N9, but waiting to get WP. Hopefully some time soon. Propably Lumia 900 would be best? But when it’s going to land Europe???

    First Nokia is a 6230i which T-Mobile UK sent me when they were out of a Sony Ericsson model (T610 maybe). At first i was annoyed, but then i realized it had better specs than the other device and kept it well into likfe here in the US (i didn’t get the US model for phone pricing at all and what I had was better than anything on the shelf unless I wanted to pay a lot and I was not a flip-phone/clamshell fan at all).

    Best Nokia device – probably Nokia N9.  There aspects i loved about other devices I owned like the N85, N900, N8 but the N9 really is a pleasure to use. Enjoying playing with the Lumia 710 right now and hoping to see great thing from the Nokia/MS partnership and especially hoping those great things to come to T-Mobile USA or unlocked with pentaband radios, sometime in the second half of this year.

    My first nokia phone that I bought was the nokia 6265i, I loved that phone, it was so much better than anything available In the US at the time, my favourite nokia phone of all time hmmm that is hard, I really loved my nokia N900, and the N8 is also amazing, I recently purchased the lumia 900 and am waiting to receive it in the post and I know that it is going to be class.
