New software update for the Nokia Lumia 800

u idot nokia people iam a graet fan for nokia phones in the past but ot so nervous about not giving any update for nokia s60 v5 devices  from years but giving shit updates for lumia u guys  have to remember that the phones such as nokia 5230 5233 and x6 are being soo hit and most sold phones on the market becase of the youth please make a thought about those phones

Nokia must be careful about the impression they are going to put on Lumia users.First the 800 came with battery life unlike Nokia,and now this update comes with bugs.any answers

If only I could have synced with my PC using a cable instead of having to go online to sync with a cloud based system, I would have kept the 800. When I travel I can’t always get wi fi so I replaced the phone with a Blackberry

My battery indicator on the main screen still shows a QUESTION MARK! :(

MeeGo and Symbian can update OTA (over the air, no need for a PC,worst Zune), why WP can not do that?????

I think WP do not support OTA because of their OS size issue….i think it is big comparing to other Mobile OS’s. They are not promoting OTA update may be because it requires constant internet connection and a speedy one…..any disturbancies in the middle of update will create issues with your phone….and you may need to do a lot o things to work it properly …..like going to Nokia Care, flashing every thing…waiting in queue etc……

For Blackberry guy, dontworry soon you will become a part of MS+Nokia familly once they buy out RIM, read news about this deal….

When the phone arrived I linked it, with a cable, to my PC. It wouldn’t sync with any existing Nokia software, Microsoft Active Sync or anything else! I phoned Nokia who confirmed that my diary and contacts (in Office Outlook) would have to be saved “in the cloud” and the 800 would sync to them there. Not practical when I travel and often find myself without WI FI and with no wish to come home to a huge bill for data transfer through 3G 

Just upgraded my Lumia 800… lets see what difference does it make overall… really want the music and camera quality to get improved as both are awfully bad as of now… fingers crossed…

Ian that is not the point. My point is that I need to sync the phone to my PC so that identical information is held in both places. This is not possible with a cable. I would need an internet connection of some sort. Not always practical 

 Will the update include the fix for the USB plug? My LG television is unable to recognize my Lumia 800 :-(

Dei uma breve olhada no windows phone 7 tanto no lumia 800, 900 e tb no htc ultimate notei estar faltando um complemente do calendário ( visualização do bloco tarefas ou atividades ) muito util e presente no Nokia N8 e outros celulares.

It seems to me that you guys got even bigger troubles with those updates, more than Symbian folks

My major annoyance is the battery and why it has still not been resolved, unless anyone who has dowloaded the new version has it sorted out. I charge it and maybe 20 mins later with no use, no background apps on its lost about 20% power.I have to go everywhere with a mains charger incase

My Nokia Lumia 800 is working fine as of now….Battery is getting fine and fine after each recharge cycles….last one day with 3G on….
Hence I am in doubt whether I should go with the new update which actually created lots of bugs!!!!!!!

My Lumia has been updated to new ver. 1600.2483.8106.11500 on Wednesday 19th. Before that Full Charge Capacity show 1512 mAh, and phone was charging to 1250 mAh level. After update(1st charge) Full Charge Capacity show 1480 mAh, and phone charged battery to this level. After 1 day, Full Charge Capacity run down to 1372 mAh and still running :(. My remaining time to phone off reduced from 1d17h to 1d4h.Phone is enable to work more than 1day. Something is wrong, I’m disappointed. Others user who have made changes, says that they phones starts work better- Remaining time increased to 2-3 day.Someone have solution for this problem?

I think, I just found solution for my problem. Yesterday I made full phone flash. After that, Lumia showed me remaining time nearly 2 days . After 12h, there is still 82%(I made few short calls and SMS, checked my @).I will wait until next 2 full battery charge, with conclusion, but probably there is some problem in update with small group of Lumia units.

From today morning, my Lumia 800 Battery Status is showing “?”.. Any Fix coming soon ?? 

I have the latest Update ie. 8106 >> This is fiercely Annoying… Also, please bring back the Capacitive Key Lighting on High Brightness setting… Looks like Smart-Phone is becoming a Dumb-Phone day by day…

I spoke with nokia this morning , think the battery problem may solved, . I restored the original software, and then reinstalled the updates. it took a while and have lost one or two apps ( my sky tv remote record any one help on that) but the battery at 73% charged is now showing 1 day 5 hours left which prior to my phone never showed much more that 9 hours and that was when fully charged. . So problem may now be solved. the last digits on the new version is 115000

Knew it was to good to be true, yesterday afternoon  the phone was showing 22 hours left on the battery, after a 10 min call it showed 9 hours and now when fully charged is showing 12 hours. Have been on the phone to Nokia and await a response.

just restoring to last version as now when it shows fully charged, I make a five min phone call and it shows 1 hour battery life left and 2 mins later it shows 12 hours and thats with nothing running in the background, Any one else getting this

done it again ….and it seemed ok, but now it won’t always charge past 86%, the full charge seems to change its numbers, but now at times showing 1 day 14 hours, but mustn’t blink as it can go down to 10 hours in a flash.

Hi… Duane from Hyderabad, India.
Upgraded my C6-01 on 07-02-2012 and its just awesome.
Good swipe menus, and overall user friendly too.
This is an upgrade from SYMBIAN ^3 to ANNA and now BELLE.

almost a month now since this post and still waiting for my update :(

 samsung is reallyy very much better then nokia

Battery life seems to be better but sometimes it drains fast it’s the apps i guess.
I hope the next update will better the camera part of the phone.
Overall i’m very pleased with this phone the feeling of a good buy that get’s better and better.
It’s a strong phone in my eyes the best Nokia i ever had.
WP is a good choice as OS the stability and fluid operation is the best i have ever seen.
As flightsim enthousiast i also got surprised by the infinite flight app wich is a WP premium app not available for crap i mean Android.

In other words customer statisfaction 200%
