GLOBAL – The Nokia Lumia 900 is the newly launched phone to hit the US of A. One of the many features of this smartphone is the 4G – otherwise known as LTE – support, but why would that be useful to anybody? It’s time for another poll to find out how you’ll be using 4G.

Currently, typical 3G download speeds reach around 2mbps. LTE (Long Term Evolution) offers a much, much faster download speed of 100mbps. That’s a huge increase. This means that anything you’ll be doing on your phone that requires a data connection will be taking advantage of these new speeds.

How would you use 4G the most? Select two of the options below so we can try to find out.

Cast your votes and we’ll count up the answers in about a week’s time.

I’ve added a couple of other options (I didn’t think of before) in the poll that some people put as their “other” option. Good thinking guys.

Surely if the 4G speeds are that fast then a cabled connection would be faster?(due to improvements over time) I don’t claim to understand the tech behind it but I would have thought that a cable would be better. If not then it would soon make all those cables redundant and everyone will be using 4G as a modem for their PC. Or am I getting totally the wrong end of the stick here?

Fibre works at that sort of speed but ethernet is massively restricted by a number of things. I’d use it as a modem on my PC seeing as an unlimited data plan and a current v slow internet are a real bummer :D
