Those EA games coming to Nokia Lumia

Published by Ian Delaney on January 26, 2012

GLOBAL – This one appeared earlier this month on games publisher EA’s YouTube channel. So what new games franchises can you look forward to appearing on your Windows Phone in the near future?

The video reveals some of the answers. We spotted:

Mirror’s Edge – award winning Parkour sim with a futuristic spy thriller plot.

Real Racing 2 – hit racing sim pits you over 40 miles in 30 officially licensed cars.

Sims Medieval – The Sims meets Fable in genre-crossing adventures.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour – Go golfing with the Pros in this leading simulation.

Monopoly – no need for an introduction to the classic property-baron board game.

Spy Mouse – a new one to us, it’s a portable puzzler with a flight control vibe.

Yahtzee – it’s poker but with dice. Good one for a train trip or the back seat of the car.

The Game of Life – another family board game; and an unknown quantity here. Opinions?

Vampire Rush – an combination of tower defence and survival horror.

Parking Mania – never played this one. Looks suspiciously like a parking simulation. Hope there is something we’re missing here…

Picnic Wars – an evolution of the ‘annoyed avians’ formula – this time featuring vicious veggies.

Which ones are you looking forward to playing the most?

Where is GTA 3 for wp7? Instead of bringing these some what popular yet outdated games why not contact major hd games maker companies like Gameloft,Rockstar etc to release latest games for wp7 at same time as with ios and android

if they are not xbox live enabled what is the point? Xbox live is a unique selling point that needs to be used more often with bigger titles to make people look seriously at WP as a real alternative to iOS which as got the mobile gaming market sewn up for now.
So far the Xbox live titles are casual puzzle crap, c’mon Nokia work with Microsoft & bring back some n-gage classics to xbox live like a next gen version of reset generation, Pathway to Glory, System Rush and good old snake. even a direct port of these games with upgraded resolution would beat almost any mobile game out there today especially beat the puzzle stuff on xbox live wp

Nokia as a habit of doing deals for outdated half assed ports its what killed N-gage 2.0 even though 1st party games were top notch on N-gage 2.0 from Nokia Publishing its the 3rd party titles what make or break a gaming platform and for N-gage they was the worst 3rd party games ever on a serious gaming platform.

    Dishonour?  Stop being dramatic!

You chose Symbian, so live with your decision.  If you wanted great games, you could have easily checked the  Android Marketplace and Apple’s store and saw that some of these games are already there – so you could have bought one of those devices if having these games represent ‘honour’ to you.

Windows Phone will get them; and perhaps Symbian will to, but Windows Phone first – remember, Windows Phone is the primary OS now.
