PORTLAND, OR, United States – When I bought my first Nokia phone, years ago, I noticed straightaway the technical support offered by the Nokia Care US team.

It’s your back-up organization, comprising top-notch folks who reach out actively on social networks, making sure you feel supported from the minute you take your Nokia out of the box.

Buying gadgets is a leap of faith. You might buy a mobile phone based on reviews and what you’ve heard about the device and its capabilities. But you may forget that you are also buying in to the company’s ability to support you after the sale – this is where Nokia shines.

Based in Irving, Texas, Nokia Care US is staffed by an amazing army of folks who go the extra mile to make sure your phone is operating to its fullest potential and to help rectify any situations before they disrupt your mobile life.

In some cases, Nokia Care remedy situations which are way beyond the handset maker’s responsibility. If they see a way to fix issues, they just do.

So, although we don’t expect our phones to go wrong, we want to be reassured that if we ever did have a problem, Nokia would help And that’s exactly what Nokia Care is there for.

I’m not sure parts are available, but your phone must still be under warranty, so you should be fine.

How the Nokia deals with people who use the company to send cheating sms? I am a victim in it.

Ian, I think he’s concerned because the N9 isn’t sold in the US, and so the usual Nokia warranty doesn’t apply, as far as I’ve read. My N9 for example is a Malaysia model, so if something went wrong with it, I would have to seek help with Nokia Malaysia, even though it was bought through Amazon in the States. If I’m wrong, please correct me, because I would actually *like* to be wrong in this case!  :)

This is what I got when I tried to find the warranty status of my (Malaysian) N9 on that website:
Device was not designed for the US market: We do not have the capability to repair devices that were not designed for the US market. Please check the warranty information that was included with your device and/or please contact your point of purchase. If you purchased the device in the US and you determine that your device came with a US warranty, please contact Nokia Customer Care at 1-888-665-4228 for information. Please include a copy of your proof of purchase that confirms the device was purchased in the United States and a copy of the in box US warranty documentation when you send your device in for repair.

So I will keep praying that my N9 doesn’t need repairing, because it looks like I’m not covered at all, despite buying it from Amazon in the US, there was no documentation at all pointing toward a US warranty. Treat these N9s like newborn babies!
