Nokia launches three fantastic new additions to the Asha family

BARCELONA, Spain – Nokia introduces three new Asha phones today: the Nokia Asha 302, 203 and 202.

STOP. You already know from the name: they don’t have the headline specs that the tech press adores. So instead of jumping right into the figures, let’s take a moment to put these releases into context.

Which is the fastest growing mobile market? Where is the hunger for smartphone-style experiences the highest? Who is using most Internet services from a mobile phone?

It’s not the US or Western Europe, that’s for sure. The most likely new entrant to the mobile Internet lives in the South and East of the globe. From the stats, he or she is an urban teenager in the likes of Indonesia, India, China, Brazil or Mexico.

They’re already connected, onto the Internet, social networks and instant messaging.

And that’s where the new Nokia Asha phones come in. They address the needs of – quite literally – tens of millions of users.

Since their launch in October, Asha phones have reached 100 countries – and the Nokia Browser gets an astounding four new users every second.

And these phones are getting smarter all the time – With Mail for Exchange on the Asha 302, it’s never been easier to do business – and there’s a great gift on the Asha 203 and Asha 202 too: An exclusive games package from EA that means they’re a lot of fun.

OK. So here they are:

Asha 302The Nokia Asha 302 is a premium quality QWERTY phone that is perfect for young professionals who need to communicate for business, and love to stay in touch with family and friends.
