Published by Jason Harris on March 7, 2012

SAN DIEGO, CA, United States – How would you like to work for the world’s largest mobile company?  What would it feel like to be able to say you helped ignite technologies that set Nokia devices apart?

Well, you may get your chance. Nokia is looking to beef up it’s presence in the Southern California region and perhaps you are the right fit.

On March 15, 2012 in San Diego, California, Nokia will hold a recruitment event that will open opportunities for more than 100 folks to join the Smart devices team within a two week period. This ramping up could be a huge boon to the local economy of San Diego, as it represents a $10 million+ investment annually in Nokia’s Rancho Bernardo location.

So, if you’re a skilled employee looking for your next adventure, why not check out the company that took top honors at CES and Mobile World Congress?

Nokia’s hiring spree in San Diego represents a $10 million investment into the area.

I’d love to apply, too bad I live in Norway.

I have a degree in engineering.  I should probably go.

Would love to apply and while in the US, I’m nowhere near San Diego, much as i’d love a move back to CA. Also looks like i’m probably not quite experienced enough yet for the jobs that most closely link to my field (software development).  Maybe when Nokia opens their upper Midwest office in Minneapolis I’ll be better placed ;)

It looks like you are hiring a lot of engineers to help build great devices for the US market and win back market share.  On the other end, you also need great sales people to help get those devices into peoples hands and I’m not seeing any sales/marketing positions available.  Will you have anything in the future for us sales professionals?

    Hello, I have few questions:
Is this recruitment at SD event on 03/15 only for college recent graduates? or for experienced people also? Also, anyone who wants to apply for those job has to attend that event? or can apply online or by email? Also, is it true that people attending the event only have better chance of success or online applicants also hold an equal chance?
