Creative Studio exclusively for Nokia

Creative Studio on white Nokia Lumia 800

GLOBAL – Traditionally, you take a photo and perform any edits to the photo afterwards. Not anymore. Creative Studio by Nokia transforms the way you take photos on your Nokia Lumia 610, Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia Lumia 800 and the now available Nokia Lumia 900 by adding special effects to the photo, before you’ve even taken that perfect shot.

Created by Nokia, Creative Studio transforms standard photos into something extra special, with ease.

There’s the option to take photos straight away with what are called Live Styles. These are live effects, relayed through your phone’s viewfinder. This means you don’t need to make the edits after you’ve taken the shot.

Live Styles include:

  • Sketch
  • Dreamy
  • Night vision
  • Cartoon
  • Colour
  • Silkscreen

Alternatively, you can select any of the images already saved in your photo gallery and add special effects afterwards, if that’s what you prefer.

Additional effects include:

  • Freaky
  • Back to ’76
  • Summer evening
  • Flawless skin
  • Auto enhance
  • Watercolour

Another fun way of capturing your friends is by using Face Warps. You can make your friends look like they’ve got a great big nose, a stretched mouth or totally twisted face. Whatever you choose, it’s all really good fun.

Face Warps include:

  • Mega mouth
  • Super chin
  • Pinocchio
  • Dweeb
  • Alien
  • Twister

As if two methods of taking and editing photos wasn’t enough, Nokia has also thrown in a third way of capturing the world. Creative Studio also has the ability to capture spectacular panoramic images. Take your first photo, the app will then guide you in taking three more shots to complete the wide shot image. You’ll need a steady hand for this, but the results can be amazing, especially for a city landscape or a beach view.

Once you’ve captured any one of these images and had some fun with special effects, you can then share these with your friends on social networking sites, such as: Facebook; Twitter; and Flickr.

Creative Studio ready for sharing

Creative Studio is available for your Nokia Lumia 610, Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 900 and downloadable from the Windows Phone Marketplace – for free. You’ll find it under the Nokia collection section of Windows Phone Marketplace on your Nokia Lumia. Alternatively, scan this QR code from your Nokia Lumia to install the app (hit the Search key then the ‘eye’ button to scan QR codes):

hey thank for the app…. really aweum… Now Nokia as u guys have special partnership wid MSFT plz get rid of MSFT stock camera UI and get urs.. u people know the camera better than any one else no doubts ….. MSFT camera app on lumia 800 is a mess , and i believe every nokia fan wants a nokia camera experience SW+HW combined with the app and UI….. and it wont also caise any fragmentation to the platform…

But for the time thanks to the guys who made this happen … Nokia rocks and hope my mom finally enjoys the camera on her 800 ;-) though my n8 is better but it wud b nice to have such an app on it too. Hope i am not asking for too much…

So this has nothing to do with Adobe,it’s named Creative Studio and you expect not to get sued??

    • Anonymous

“Creative Studio” is used way more elsewhere than just in the way Adobe uses it. It is not registered or patented or whatever. And what do you care? =D

      • Anonymous

It’s misleading and if it’s not an Adobe trademark it should be.

What Adobe product has Creative Studio in it? None. They do have Creative Suite though.

I am really looking forward to using this app when I purchase a Nokia WP!  I like how everything is included in one app and easy and fun to use; as opposed to on my N8 where I have to use Nokia Panorama by opening up a separate app.

Windows Phone really does  streamline.  Thanks Nokia for bringing this to your WP devices :)

I’m enjoying this app. The cartoon and dreamy filter are my favourite at the moment.

Nokia should include this app as unique feature for up coming Lumia900 ads on tv or web

Will apps such as this one and Nokia Reading come to Symbian?

    • http://conversations.nokia.com/ Adam Fraser

I’ve got no idea. But if they do, we’ll probably write about it to let you know.

Ok! Would be nice if Symbian users get treated with some goodies too.

There are several apps that can make funky edits to your photos on Symbian.

I used to use Molome a lot on my Nokia N8. You can grab it from Nokia Store, here: http://store.ovi.com/content/113885

Correct & this app’s also available for Maemo 6x.

I use Molome too. But I want Creative Studio :)

Maybe it’s time I join the Windows Phone family.

So given that MS still doesn’t allow a port to WP, this isn’t a Qt-based app right?

Please also add the ability to send the image as an email attachment for those more private pictures.

Searched the Market Place. And it said “Application Not Found”. But Why?

    • http://conversations.nokia.com Ian Delaney

It’s available as part of the ‘Nokia Collection’ – exclusive to Lumia users so it doesn’t turn up in searches. Use the QR code above if it isn’t there..

  • http://twitter.com/signorhaddock PrasenjitBist
