S40 are extremely old and limited phones, upgrade the OS on that brand to symbian belle fp1

Heh?! Series 40 Full Touch is shiny and new and has really fresh look and feel! Combines the drop-down notification bar of Symbian Belle with the award-winning MeeGo Swipe UI controls. And the Asha 311 with 1 GHz CPU is more responsive than most of low-end Android gadgets. The only pity is the missing document viewer and the non-existent Skype or VoIP apps.

Well, there are a ton of free and paid Twitter apps for Symbian, so it’s about where the need is.

And also the opportunity – this move makes Twitter available to millions and millions of people who have only been able to use the mobile web version.

I don’t think there’s an official app, but Gravity is available. You can download it from Nokia Store: http://store.ovi.com/content/6855Alternatively, there are other apps, too.

There are a number of twitter apps available for S60. Why are you lusting for a app from twitter?

      • Dilip

There is no official twitter client for s60 v3. Most of them are for s60 v5 or higher….  Now S40 also has an official app…
Symbian ship is going to sink one day for sure…

Did anyone told those Twitter guys that S40 phone didn’t need those huge touch icons I mean the fact is the screen is too small to handle them, so how about just option and back button!

    • http://conversations.nokia.com Ian Delaney

The latest phones in the range – 305, 306 and 311 – have full size touch screens.

Is there LINE for S40? I hear someone says there are people spend over $600 buying high end smart phone and just play small games, taking photo and using LINE or Skype for free massaging and calling (over free WiFi). S40 have games, then it need complete communicate apps like LINE and Skype.

……well, and a camera at least have auto focus I think. I’m not asking for pure-view, even for high pixels. 3.2MP with AF is OK, like the one you use in 7390 before, and a LED flash for photo and torch like the one in X2-00 (but add one more will be brighter and better). I believe it will not let the phone go over $1000 or $250, but then the phone will be a “complete” one.
It’s very very very annoying that you always make incomplete S40 phone. I’m not asking for high spec, definitely not. I just want a complete phone that have all feature, and all of them are not necessary to be highest. But Nokia simply don’t want to make even just one model, and I wait since 7390 till now (X2-00 is very approach to that, but it lack 3G support and AF camera, Asha 302 didn’t sell in Taiwan and I don’t like Touch & Type). It’s annoying, it’s very annoying, very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very annoying.

But I will buy Asha 311. And hope next time it will finally have a complete model of Asha range or other S40 phones.
