These are my two official entries for nokia Cardboard challenge….one is Nokia lumia 900 pink and other one is lumia 920 yellow..these two are cardboard version of lumia phones hope everyone likes it…..it took me 3 days to complete..used some color papers along with cardboard to make it look attractive and colourful as lumia itself is very colourful..loved making them and enjoyed..this is my creativity..and thank you nokia for this challenge as i loved making them and hope winners are choosen fairly.Some more entries coming.

Hello, my NOKIA 900 flies in balloon and is taking the pictures. Is all made of cardboard to be strong, does not afraid of challenges! It loves to take pictures of colored icons, likes to embellish them later to stand out. Is very happy!
There are:
-5 photos which show right installation,
-4 photos which show the details of NOKIA 900 and the icons (two NOKIA 900 in hand and 2 on the desk),
-The one with black chairs shows my funny setup of installation. :p

i think i’m the first one doing this , but as i understood, we were supposed to design OUR OWN nokia phones = invent new models, right?
So i made the all new, NOKIA 901 . It will be the latest of Symbian, Read the following while viewing image :
(sorry if not best of cardbox art but it’s my first attempt… i’m better at thinking then designing..)

The parts above the screen are the earspeaker, the nokia logo and the camera. There is no light detector because, when the phone will be out, it will pack a highly advanced 2MP front facing camera that INCLUDES the ambient light detector inside it. This means less sensors and better technology. Since light detecting is something which has to do with visuality, there’s no need for both CAMERA and SENSOR. The sensor is a part of the front cam and the sensor itself will work and sense light when there’s a call.

The screen : as usual. Nokia phones dont have any black screen – it’s a ClearBlack screen with the best protection . No puremotion hd Technology – this phone leaves these goodies for its flagship WINDOWS companions.

Lets speak about the great all new button system:
Home physical button, 2 capacitive buttons: BACK and CALL.

Call button is on the right and NO, it’s not like the GREEN SEND button , it has a different purpose. Nokia is all about great phones along with smart advanced features. Many times, we smartphone users need to call someone and may get lost in all the software and home screens, and takes us time getting to the right thing – dial pad / contacts / recent calls. With simple phones, there is no problem – exit whereever you are and press green for calls, or just dial. The same here.
WHEREVER you are – games, web, apps, gallery – pressing the phone button brings up the following combo : (dial pad-contacts-call log). Sliding sideways flips betwen those and the user can choose in settings which of those will be brought up when clicking button. By default, it’s the dial pad, and getting to LOG or CONTACTS is by sliding, but you can choose that clicking PHONE button brings up CONTACTS or call log.
This means calling, like it should be on a phone, is only click away. Holding the phone capacitive button does a call to a specific person (set in settings) or brings up fav. contacts , according to what user has decided. This button does NOT pick up calls! More on that coming up.

Back – simply goes back. Holding it = goes home and closes app, so if you’re inside Fruit Ninja, no need to press home buttion and then close from open apps – just hold the BACK. In phones like 701, the red button does this, but not for all apps – for example, if you’re in WhatsApp, clicking RED doesnt close the app. In this new NOKIA 901 , it will close the app you’re currently on, no matter what it is!

I chose to put BACK on the left side because most people are right handed and so it’s most comfortable for them, since it’s a very USED button. However, I also thought of using the BACK button to REJECT CALLS, like the regular red button. In such a case, and in order to maintain the usual “Green on left side, Red on right side” , you can flip them, if this phone does ever get to production. In such a case, where the phone button is on left and BACK buttion on right, when a call is recieved, Phone button would glow GREEN, back glow RED. (most of the time they won’t have a light on; when clicked , they’d have a white light. Only time they’d have green/red is when recieving a call. NOT DURING A CALL)
In any case, finishing the call is done with ON SCREEN BUTTONS, so the back button will still function as BACK even during a call (for all other uses while calling..) .
Answering calls can be done using screen or with those buttons, if you choose to put PHONE button on left, BACK on right.

Side of the phone: The nokia 901 will pack a 14 MP camera, preferablly pureView, launched either from screen app or physical buttion. Slider can (un)lock phone.

The main gem of the phone is that it will run the (for now imaginary) NOKIA EMMA OS (Following nokia donna ;] )
this new software will be quick and smart.
FOR EXAMPLE. holding home button brings open apps, and there’s a search bar below the open apps.
Pressing Home + Camera = screenshot.
and may i suggest a nice new feature: pressing BACK + CAMERA = Launch front camera :) (as if BACK moves from the back cam to the front cam)

i’ve got many other ideas and hopefully this would be a real thing because i really love nokia and over here in israel i FEEL like I should move to other platforms like android (no maps here or 808 pureview), and i always tell my friends how buying nokia handsets is better than other OS but i’m running out of options. I hope for Nokia that you make good smartphones with Symbian and WP8 because i really love nokia and believe symbain has the potential to grow and become really good.

The day has finally come :) I’ve finished my entry for the Nokia Cardboard competition. It’s my beloved N900 which is lifesize!. It took me over 60 hours to finish, and it was great fun :) It features a working slide, qwerty keyboard, kickstand, and camera lens cover. For materials I used pizza boxes, and recycled paper bags, with some black paint here and there. I’ve put some pictures in of the original phone, for comparison. Can you tell which one is real ? :P

HI.My Name is Jia Xun,
This are photos of the lumia 800, the very first lumia phone.
I tried and worked very hard to make this Nokia phone and i am sure most of the people did hard work too.It took me a very long time to this especially the earpieces because i did not have one before and had to compare pictures from the internet to do this.
The speakers below the Phone was tedious work as i used needles to poke them through to make it look more 3-D like. The tiny windows icon was also made of cardboard
Please dont critiscise.Everybody has tried and should not be disliked for the art we have done.
Everything was made solely of cardboard and paint.
This is my adorable cat, Bodhi where i would always take pictures of her using my lumia 800 phone a long time ago.It would be full of videos and pictures of her.
Unfortunately,my lumia phone had broke down and therefore i dont have a Nokia phone anymore :( I really really would love to get back a Nokia phone and hope i can win it!:)

Only a few hours to go now, so exciting!

This is my 2nd entry for the Nokia Cardboard Challenge. I recreated the photo I took on my Nokia X6 during my vacation in El Nido, Palawan (Philippines). Glue, scissors and different types of cardboards are the only materials I used in making this. Having cardboard boxes with different shades added texture to my entry. I crumpled and folded some of these cardboards to add more details to my entry. I hope you like it just like how you liked my 1st entry. :)

I have been fascinated by this phone since it was released so I decided
to use this Nokia Connects challenge and the posibilities that cardboard
allows to show part of its potential. After two weeks in the making to
build an exact scaled version here is the true 808: based on the real
Nokia 808 screen (183ppi), this is the actual size that it should have
to show the pictures captured by its sensor without downscaling. I loved
the concept of this idea since I started working on it and the result
is even more awesome, this is the biggest Nokia 808 ever build! The problem is that this one doesn’t take such amazing photos :(

My Nokia 701 cardboard! =)

This is my 3rd and last entry for the Nokia Cardboard Challenge. As you can see, I made my cardboard version of the Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Purity Stereo Headset by Monster. No other materials were used in making this entry aside from cardboard boxes. I did my best to make the screen and the live tiles as detailed as possible. Goodluck to all the participants! :)

Only a small notice: when manufacturing my 808′s clock widget, I realized my birthday is just august 08: that means, 08/08 , or 808…..What a great fluke!Haha
