Nokia Lumia 810

T-Mobile USA today announced they’re bringing the Nokia Lumia 810 to the United States. A beautiful smartphone that brings the best of Windows Phone 8 along with a sharp-shooting camera, the Nokia Lumia 810 also brings a minimalistic design and industry-leading navigation services.

Expected to be available in the coming weeks, Nokia Lumia 810 comes packed with a sharp and gorgeous 4.3-inch OLED screen that features a ClearBlack display, meaning your colors will pop and blacks will be deep and dark. Want to add some personality to your phone? No problem, the Lumia 810 makes this possible with interchangeable charging shells that come in black and cyan and let you charge your phone without hooking up a wire at all.

We’re proud to have Carl Zeiss as a long-term imaging partner, and Nokia Lumia 810 carries an 8-megapixel camera accompanied by a Carl Zeiss lens. If you like making video calls, you’ll be happy to know that Nokia Lumia 810 has a front-facing camera that lets you conduct video chats in crystal clear HD resolution.

Making use of the new Lens capability, Nokia Lumia 810 owners will be able to capture memories with Cinemagraph, a built in animated-photo creative studio; wide-bodied panorama photos and Group Shot – which gives you the capability to take that perfect group photo by assembling everyone’s wonderful smiling faces.

Know where, now!

Nokia is quickly becoming known as the where company – giving Lumia owners crucial information on what’s going on around them as well as how to get there. Nokia City Lens is an easy-to-use app that overlays information about restaurants, shops and hotels as you look at a building. Think of it as a “heads-up” display for your daily life.

Additionally, with Nokia Drive, you’ll never get lost with voice-guided, turn-by-turn navigation that works even when you’re out of reach of a mobile signal. If you are reliant on public transportation, Nokia Transit will help you hop onto buses and trains in major metropolitan areas with ease.

Also preloaded on the Nokia Lumia 810 is Nokia Music, offering free music streaming from a collection of over 17 million tracks. Nokia Music lets you create playlists from your own tastes, or select from hundreds of specially curated mixes drawn from the Nokia Music collection. What’s more, you can download these playlists to listen to anywhere. Nokia Music doesn’t require a subscription or sign-up and it’s completely free.

All in all, the Nokia Lumia 810, powered by T-Mobile’s ultra-fast 4G network and value data plans, is an amazing phone that comes in a beautiful package.

Who cares… I wanted the 920 in Cyan. I’m not upgrading my 710 to the same screen resolution. So no Nokia for me this year.

    • http://twitter.com/jasontcarter Jason Thomas Carter

All windows phones have the same screen resolution, so what is it that you are talking about?

      • http://twitter.com/gamepop Prashant

umm no, check out specs for wp8 devices

      • no_soul

Wrong…. feel free to compare the 920 and 820 fro yourself

        WP8 supports 4 screen resolution with 1280 x 720 & 1280 768 being 2 of them…

        • http://twitter.com/TheFightSayeth My Name is The Fight

It’s three resolutions, the lowest is WVGA.

      • http://twitter.com/Da_PHAT_Ninja Michael Lococo

Guess you havedn’t been keeping track. @nokia screwed us out of the 920 so they’re trying to make up for it with a low end scrap phone!

  • echoshizzle

hoping the 920 is on it’s way sometime as well!

    • http://twitter.com/Da_PHAT_Ninja Michael Lococo

90 day exclusive on AT&T means after Christmas which means March at the earliest. Nokia will ship something new by then to AT&T so don’t count on it.

      • Gaichuke

Until you have sources to back your claims (90 day exclusive, Nokia will bring new model to AT&T in March) you are just talking out of your ass.

  • http://twitter.com/SoundsAndSwords The Villain

Y’all should be grateful for this! Everyone complained about AT&T being the only ones that Nokia caters to.

    • http://twitter.com/Da_PHAT_Ninja Michael Lococo

GRATEFUL!!!!!?? IT’S THE SCRAPS. THE LEFTOVERS THAT NOBODY WANTS!!! @TMOBILE SHOULD GET THE PREMIUM PHONE!

Guy, relax. In 3 months the 41MP OIS variant will come to market (MWC) and will go to Verizon. Then perhaps after that, Tmobile will get some also.. :)

      • http://twitter.com/SoundsAndSwords The Villain

When has T-Mobile EVER gotten a premium phone….I’ll wait.

Are the covers interchangeable with the 820?

    • no_soul

      I’d guess no..

    • Samwin1101

Yes with Cyan & Black out of the box with wireless charging included. Some incentive for T-Mobile customers.

      • no_soul

They could very well be but I doubt it especially based on the orientation of the flash, its vertical on the 810 while horizontal on the 810… the 810 also seems to be a little beefier than the 820

        • Samwin1101

So does it mean something, L920 has vertical and l810 too and comes with wireless charging so what.

          • no_soul

Just gave my opinion is all

          • Samwin1101

Ok Sorry if i came cross

  • no_soul

Black and cyan…. no pink ;)

Not a bad looking phone overall…. so is there a 910 as well?

  • The__Truth__Hurts

No flagship phone = no buy

Well then move into a flagship carrier.

      • The__Truth__Hurts

I’m not willing to pay almost double for marginally better coverage.

      • Michal Gawecki

At&T is not a flagship crrier, its Verizon!

This is great news! I am a little sad T-Mobile isn’t getting the 920, but the 820 has some extras – replaceable shells (a phone tends to get scuffed), a replaceable battery (I’d rather replace my battery myself – or carry a spare) along with expandable memory (64 GB, anyone?). I also prefer the AMOLED display over the IPS. Now if only we could get the screen to show it’s status when asleep, this would be the perfect phone for me. Good job, Nokia. I was very sad when I thought Nokia wouldn’t bring their phones to other carriers but this cheers me up.

    • http://twitter.com/Da_PHAT_Ninja Michael Lococo

This is the 810 – a more plastic looking cheaper scrap phone!

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joris-Bos/1205763487 Joris Bos

Your opinion is ofcourse entirely yours :)

      • http://twitter.com/e_b_stallings eric stallings

It isn’t a crap phone buddy. There is definitely a market for mid tier phones–such as the 810. It would not surprise me if it sold well. Maybe out selling the HTC windows phone 8x. btw, isn’t that name absurd haha.

  • Richard

I’m on T-Mobile and we get this crappy phone model? Really? 800×600 and no PureView camera! Very upset and it’s a reason why Nokia is not doing well in the phone market anymore.

    • http://twitter.com/Da_PHAT_Ninja Michael Lococo

I’m right there with you! @nokia and @microsoft made it seem as if the Lumia 920 was going to be a flagship on multiple carriers – Then Nokia betrayed us!

  • Richard

  • sp3ncer

    So no FM Radio?

    • Adrian

I think all WP’s have a FM radio

  • m s

this phone is a lot more sexy and appealing then the 920 and 820, Nokia Learn from this style is everything…Thinner and smaller, expand the screen from tip to tip!

Nokia windowa os not good …..

    • LinkArt

And now, once again, but in English please

    • http://twitter.com/Da_PHAT_Ninja Michael Lococo

Uhhh how ’bout NO!!!!! No green trash cans!

  • Richard

To everyone that give a thumb down to the comments that it’s only 800 x 600 has very low standards with smartphones!

  • http://twitter.com/LateralMark Marco Jallu

is it just me but it looks to me like there’s a picture of the 820′s back side (the blue one) and actually the 810 is just an other iP clone?

  • http://twitter.com/ArthurGD3 Arthur

I can replace my parents HTC Radar 4G’s with this :) It is a real shame though that for the moment, the 920 seems to be AT&T exclusive. I was really hoping that wouldn’t be the case. A Verizon variant might still be in the cards but I am currently on T-Mobile myself where I am saving about $40/month over a comparable VZW plan if I were to go their.

    • The__Truth__Hurts

HTC’s flagship phone will land on T-mobile (last I heard).

      • http://twitter.com/Da_PHAT_Ninja Michael Lococo

Their flagship isn’t really a flagship more a mid range phone. A 4.3″ display, only 16GB of storage and no MicroSD card card.

    • http://twitter.com/Da_PHAT_Ninja Michael Lococo

@nokia should have put the Lumia 920 on all carriers especially after pushing it so hard against the other two phones that will be! Instead Nokia betrayed us all and signed an exclusive contract with AT&T!

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joris-Bos/1205763487 Joris Bos

You really don’t understand do you? Windows phone has like 3% marketshare. That’s nothing. You can’t just put phones inside stores and hope to sell them like hotcakes. That’s just not going to happen. What Nokia needs is focused marketing. They will get this for their 920 at at&t and perhaps for other hero devices at other providers in the future. Sales people need to be trained, stores need to be changed in order to actually SELL these devices.
When Windows Phone marketshare hits 10% or more, we’ll see a different strategy unfold, but for now, you need all the focus from providers you can get.

  • Michal Gawecki

I was hopoing to buy Nokia but only 920. I’m not going to waste my money on a second best phone if I can have Samsung Galaxy 3 Nokia you are not going to make my money!

    • The__Truth__Hurts

      Or Samsung Galaxy Note II.

  • The__Truth__Hurts

I am glad that I picked up a Samsung Galaxy Nexus up a few months ago.

Ever since the Lumia 800 landed (well, even before that) I wanted a Nokia Lumia. But I decided to wait to this fall to pick up a Lumia, since then the hardware would be more on par on what is out there, plus 16GB wasn’t enough storage. And rumors of a ClearView Lumia were just to tempting.

But a few months ago, I was in a dire need of a new phone. I wanted to wait, but I needed a new phone and an Unlocked Galaxy Nexus for $350 was just too tempting (I always wanted a pure google device).

Simply put, I am glad that I picked up the Galaxy Nexus, because Nokia has nothing.

I don’t know what is going on with Nokia, but Nokia is doing some stupid decisions. The Lumia 920? Nice phone, but with the size/weight of the Lumia 920, I can (literally) pick up a Samsung or Motorola (or others) that have a larger display (4.7+) and a larger battery. Also that have 32/64GB options and microSD. I’m sorry, but 32GB just dosen’t cut it. at least offer 32 and 64GB options.

Then the carrier exclusivity. I’m sorry, never in my life will I switch to at&t. And I know countless of others who won’t either.

I was about to drop $600 to $1000 for a Nokia phone, and then several $100′s for the accessories (blue tooth speaker, cables, headphones, earbuds, the whole works). So, Nokia, you could have easily seen $1200 to $1500 after the phone and all the accessories I would have bought. But you blew it.

I’m going to either pick up a Samsung Galaxy Note II or an Samsung Ativ S. (Right now I’m leaning more toward the Note since of the 5.5 inch display & stylus).

I’m sorry Nokia, but you blew it. I spent well over an year waiting for a halo Nokia phone, and so far there is nothing. And I was going to buy all the accessories (well not all, but a lot of accessories) to go with it.

And I was not the only one. Several of my friends were waiting with me to get the Halo Nokia phone. And to put it simply, we are not waiting for it any more. We are (literally) all looking at going with Samsung. If you want to play carrier’s favorite and put half-baked devices out there, don’t expect people to flock.

I’m with ya except for the Green Trashcan os!

As a Nokia stock holder my comment is this -What is wrong with you NOKIA!!! You seriously don’t want to succeed in the USA.

  • http://twitter.com/Da_PHAT_Ninja Michael Lococo

“brings the best of Windows Phone 8″, no it doesn’t, 920 does but you refuse to sell it to anybody but AT&T victims, so F U Nokia.

  • The__Truth__Hurts

    “The_Truth_Hurts”, dosen’t it?
down vote me all you want. But do realize that the only people who will be picking these phones up will be the Nokia Fangirls. Just the Nokia Fangirls.

Samsung, Apple, soon LG and to an extent HTC, have flagship phones (if not multiple) on all the major carriers. (if not currently, son to be. Yes sprint probably won’t get the HTC flagship windows phone and T-mobile probably won’t get the iPhone). But the point being, you can’t move up, if you sell junk. You need to sell flagship devices on ALL CARRIERS!!!

The Nokia Lumia 920 on at&t is a laughing stock. Do you seriously think it is going to sell well in America on THE iPHONE CARRIER!?!?!?!?!? (Then followed by Android) Nobody (only the fangirls) will switch to at&t for that phone. That phone had to be brought to all major carriers in America.

Soon, you will have the Galaxy Note II on all carriers, followed by HTC & LG phones. You think anybody is going to pick up this (on t-mobile or verizon) over the flagship phones on those carriers, I’m sorry but you are dead wrong.

  • Ricardio

Good job T-Mobile/Nokia. You can’t please everyone but I’m satisfied. Love the new form factor. Please make more cover colors.

pity that Russia will not be

  • Ed_Luva

The real mystery (other than the wisdom of going exclusively with AT&T) is WILL THE RADIO OF THE Lumia 810 support T-Mobile’s fastest 41 mb/s download speed??? The press release is silent on this key issue. NOKIA PLEASE CONFIRM THE RADIO OF THE LUMIA 810. I worry that this was screwed up, so please reassure me!

  • Harry_Wild

I like the shape of the 810! Wish it had HD resolution screen instead of the 800 X 400 – 221 pixel.

    they better get more colors

  • Ken.N

I now see why Nokia is failing . They just gave Samsung and HTC sales that would have easily been to them.

  • Adewale

Hi, when will Lumia 920 get to Nigeria(Africa) please?

  • dan

This is my second favorite behind the 920 and it looks great. Nice job Nokia.

  • ARC

Why do the newer devices not have a lanyard hole.
Am I not seeing it in the pic?

Have been missing it ever since I switched from the 5800.
I always hold the phone in my hand. Never ever dropped that phone because if it slipped from my hand it would just dangle from my wrist.
Have dropped the current one more times that I can count.

    Lanyards are very useful.

    • http://www.facebook.com/ultimatehipster Tracey Hall

I too hate that the 810 doesn’t have a lanyard… used it all the time on my 710

  • idan91

Why are all your mainstream phones thicker than competitors?? You have been doing this for the longest I could remember. N95, E70, N900 (brick of phones) N9, the lumias. And they are way heavier. The lumia 810 is no exception. The phone looks thick from pictures come on.

  • http://twitter.com/luiislp Luiis Cubias

I really hope the chargeable cases come optional, bc that cases is chubby :P :)

  • Zariah Foster

Really A great news!Nokia lumia 810 is really an awesome phone having amazing and impressive features with a nice look and user -friendly applications. So it is worthy to buy nokia lumia 810 in my opinion.

  • Jason P.

Lumia 810 is the shit better then at&t 820.

  • lux

wow I just picked this phone up yesterday. Its awesome!!!!! The camera is dope and response is great.
if I’m going to compare it to another phone yes this phone takes out I phone and most Androids Its more simpler to use and doesn’t drain my battery… If you battery is dying on you phone alot it means you spend too much time on ur phone.
