Nokia Connects Christmas: Future

The future is in your hands

The future is in your hands

By now you should have read what’s happened in the past and what’s happening right now in the world of Nokia Connects, but what does the future hold? Well, that’s really up to you guys. We’re putting the future of Nokia Connects in your hands (kind of). Tell us what you’d like to see, and we’ll try our Christmas socks off to make it happen.

Cardboard Nokia

Competitions

Having seen the way you guys embraced competitions like the Nokia Cardboard Challenge, the #NokiaLVK mood board contest and the current Nokia Paper Challenge it seems that the creative among you are on board with this type of contest. But what about those who are more thumbs than fingers? What would you like to see in the way of competitions next year? Photography assignments? A round the world SMS relay challenge? We’re open to (reasonable) suggestions!

Events

What would you like to see from a Nokia Connects event? Where would it be? Would I finally get to meet CJ (and so many more of you guys) face to face? If the timing, location, event plan, guest list (this means I am on it) are right, we could be headed your way! Let us know what kind of events we could get involved in, and we’ll talk. This past few years we’ve ridden horses in Calgary, rocked out to Deadmau5 in London (TWICE!), and of course met lots of new friends at Social Media Week events around the world. What’s next?

Trials

You guys are special. You do special things with special pieces of technology. Some of you go all out and amaze us every day with your pictures, your crazy ideas, and special places that you have taken the phones. We want more of this next year. Lots more. All ideas are welcome, the more out there the better (all in good taste and within reason, of course). Is there an event you’d enjoy so much more with the latest Nokia in your hands? Something you’ve always wanted to discover, but couldn’t previously, or a series of photographs that you have in mind? Leave your ideas when you fill out the Trial a Nokia form and let us know.

So that’s what the future holds for Nokia Connects, and as you can see it’s up to you to create some truly memorable contests, events and trials. We’re open to suggestions, so get thinking. Have a very Happy New Year, and see you in 2013!

    This is awesome, Tom.

    Events:

I would really like to fly to an Asha or Nokia (future) launch events and meet different people, new or old, from Nokia. :)

Plus, it would be fantastic if you could organize a meet up for the active members of the https://www.facebook.com/groups/nothingbutanokia/. This group has plenty of stunning, undiscovered photos that are ready to be shared in a much wider world.

    Competition:
More photography competition is great. Why not put a contest on where the Nokia Connects (or certain group of Nokia) will be the judge. You guys will choose what category then peeps will send entries (taken from Nokia device). After that is a weekly round where entries will be narrowed down. And the whole entries that been qualified under from the weekly scope will be put to final (monthly round) and we will vote for the best entry.

Also, how about sharing best playlist from Lumia or Asha phone? Then you and us will vote or pick the best one and highlight it on monthly basis.

Lastly, I want a competition where Nokia fans will customize anything and showing love for Nokia or their device. May it on the form of t-shirt design and printing, phone paint job and so on.

    Trials:
I’m thinking of a mini-project of mine. Will send it through the trial section.

Well, just my thoughts after reading this. Will think more.

i really appreciate the work by Nokia, the events arranged r really best ideas,
i m a big nokia lover ,i used nokia n95,6600,5800xm,n8 n now 603.nokia is the world’s best camera manufacturer for the smartphones.also the hardware quality is one of the best than others.
now a days Android users r increasing rapidly.but I really hate it coz more than 60% of android apps r Web Links.
a major fact is u can put android on a useless hardware e.g.gingerbread phones r avilable in India from 3000INR/- (Means in 60USD),Also ICS is available in 4000/-INR,Means dull os needs dull hardware.(ha!ha!ha!)
too much to say too much to share about nokia but due to time limit i will post it later.
thanks Nokia my second life partner !
