However, you probably have lot less time on your hands to indulge yourself in this pastime, which is why we’ve picked ten quotes every Lumia lover should read.

Well I can say for myself that you’re not alone. I’m also aching for the rumored Laser and Catwalk phones to be released on Verizon.

Liked the look and reviews, but now I think it is a terrible phone, proximity sensor keeps my phone dark, on second phone in three weeks, it is now out, going back to my old samsung or maybe try the HTC

Has it like randomly died on you before? I have one with the exact problems your saying that’s why I’m asking.

    • chelsea

Do you have a screen protector covering the sensor? happened to me, thats all it is

  • handsome_gent

Great device! Congratulations, Nokia. Keep it up.

I would buy the Lumia 920…if it ran symbian

    • Richard Maus

Would you also buy a buggy whip if offered?

      • ccsvchost

are you saying that Symbian is outdated? its more practical for smartphones than windows phone. going to windows phone means you lose a lot of functions and features, and therefore it means going backward. we don’t need tiles to pave tombstoned apps.

Dude shut up. Symbian is outdated.

      • ccsvchost

are you trying to say that Symbian is outdated? its much more practical for smartphones than windows phone

        • Alwin

Symbian S^3 rocked on my C7 and E6, and the Lumia 920 lacks USB OTG and easy TV-Out. Would agree that Symbian could still match Android and IOS matched with proper hardware, but it’s unpopular. That said, WP8 is miles ahead of that pack. Got to grips with it easy, and love it. Forget about Symbian. Unfortunately you have to anyway. WP8 is the future and it’s bright.

          • ccsvchost

the future is jolla(meego) and bb10 now. either one is going to be my next phone, wp8 just doesn’t cut it as a smartphone os just like ios

          • Alwin

How does WP8 not cut it? I use it every day. It cuts IOS and Android to pieces IMHO. Is your opinion substantiated? N900′s Meego was fantastic, but Jolla won’t have the muscle to develop proper hardware or gain a market share outside of Finland. BB10 is out on a limb as well, and will precede IOS in declining. whereas WP8 and Android have multiple hardware manufacturers to support it. Face it, MeeGo was fantastic but will go the way of Concorde and Stena HSS ferries. Sometimes progress is taken with a few steps back at first.

True, the 920 is such a Marvel. Haters may hate all they want but the 920′s presence is undeniable. I could spend all day just looking at my white 920. It’s an amazing phone to hold, feel & look at. Really gorgeous. Incredible display. The best smartphone design. :)

A friend of mine has the Nokia Lumia 710, after owning a SGsIII and, although I personally think he is biased with WP8 (when I confronted him to tell me about the phone itself he blamed poor app performance, which is not about the phone is it?) We tested the performance for Twitter and WhatsApp and there is a delay there, on the start up.
Also, on Twitter, there’s a missing functionality: If you are reading a twit and you log off the app, next time you enter it won’t start where you left it but in the latest twit. I don’t consider that a problem but, hey, if you could fix it I could win the arguement. Thanks! :D
I have only one concern… does this happen to NL920 as well as the NL710??
Also, my friend said LG Optimus G E973 is a far better product than our beloved NL920. an LG? C’mon! I went to gsmarena to check it out and it turns out to beat us in memory, CPU, GPU, SAR and on camera, cause they have a 13MP version.
But its beaten by us in pricing!

      710 runs wp7

      • http://www.facebook.com/Hazz.Lewis Harry Lewis

The camera will take photos in a higher resolution, but that doesn’t mean they will be a higher quality at all. Its about the technology behind the lens that counts.

And yes, although it does have quicker components, it runs android. And who likes android.

i though i was through with using Nokia phones but with this Brilliant innovation Nokia Lumia 920 wins my heart again.

If someone from Nokia reads this: we need a notification LED! It is a must-have feature in a modern smartphone. Why didn’t you include one in the 920?

Notification LED is the best thing to keep the user informed about missed calls, messages etc. Nowadays you don’t have these kind of info on the screen all the time, so you have to turn the phone on and off, just to see if you have missed call or unreaded message.

And don’t listen to people that say 920 is heavy: I prefer heavier phones with big batteries than light ones with 1500 mAh battery.
And I’m still waiting for a “true” PureView device – with 40 MP sensor and stabilization technology from 920 – this would be a killer device :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/joel.willans Joel Willans

That’s such a fantastic quote we just had to add it. Thanks for the heads up :)

    • Matthew Paul

My pleasure. The phone deserves all the credit it is getting.

  • Highgun

Too bad, Nokia is loosing so much business with making Lumia 920 exclusive to AT&T, and, no unlock available. It’s a shame really

    • http://www.facebook.com/Hazz.Lewis Harry Lewis

Can you request a paid unlock from AT&T? In the UK, all mobile providers let you do it, not too much money.

Great phone and quote I’d best agree with is The Independent’s.

I think the best reviewers out there are the users who talk about it like crazy on FB, Twitter, etc. I know you must be searching for those comments as well! i see them all the time. i even posted a cover picture on FB of a serious lover of his red Nokia Lumia 920!

  • docreo

It is definitely a hot looking piece of machinery. I wish I could say I would trade in my trusty iPhone for it. I have always been a Nokia fan, mainly because of the stylish looks and user ability. I just worry about the Windows’ security. I will keep my eyes peeled on the reviews, only because of the sheer beauty of the 920′s presence. Maybe in white…

    • http://www.facebook.com/Hazz.Lewis Harry Lewis

I’m definitely going to sell my iPhone 4s in order to get this.

  • http://twitter.com/ajoshig39 Arvind Joshi

Everything is fine except that the phone hangs- typically like our PCs, for some inexplicable reasons ! If it is updating or processing something, it must include such indicators !!

  • Mark

It is a POS with the sensor issue. Worst phone I ever had and no response from Nokia except offering a refurb exchange. Worthless!

  • http://www.facebook.com/sundas.khan.5283 Sundas Khan

I faced same issue. I did the hard reset more than 20 times but no result. My Lumia 920 touch is not working at all. I used this mobile for fifteen days only. Nokia care is not at all responding to this issue. This is manufacturing fault and nokia is not accepting this. This mobile so expensive and useless. Nokia need lot of time to competitive of Touch technology. Go back to ur button keypad!!! Please do not buy this mobile. This will be real waste of money and time.. Thanks

I can’t believe this and it is for the first time that I
would NOT recommend Nokia brand to anyone.

I bought this phone for my husband who is an ardent
follower of NOKIA as he was not ready to move to Apple and I completely regret
it. He loved his phone for the first 7 days when it actually worked and from
the 8th day, he was not reachable the whole day. We later on figured
out that his phone reads – NO SERVICE.
We went to the mobile operator, they gave us a new chip however, it is still on
No Service. I have removed my iphone microchip and put it in the Nokia and it
    still can’t read the chip.

I then goggled it and to my surprise, I have seen that
allmost everyone using Nokia Lumia has been complaining about the same thing
for months….even in 2012. I just got my phone on 21st Feb 2013 and I
am unable to use it. It is disgusting.

Another issue with Nokia is, their warranties are not
global like Apple. I bought this phone in Dubai and I live in Kenya. Imagine, I
can’t use this phone unless I travel to Dubai to see Nokia Care office or Axiom
Telecom showroom. In order to use the phone, I will have to make a trip without
knowing how many days will they take to sort the problem as their UAE
counterpart are not even responding on phone/email. What a pathetic reception!

If nokia rep is reading this and can help us out to
restore our trust, please write to me with a solution at pooja.vaya@gmail.com

I have an iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, and still have my Android HTC Inspire lying around. The 4s is much better than the 5 imo. The 920 (which i have had now for 2 weeks) is better than them all! One additional thing I have noticed that when driving in a company truck (which is not the quietest environment in the world), I had to hold the iPhone 5 up to my ear to even here the turn by turn voice navigation. The Nokia has much greater volume output than the iPhone. Also, I need to put on reading glasses to clearly see text, and the Nokia’s ability to control text size is a real plus for me. If a business related text comes in while I am driving, it is real dangerous to have to fumble around putting on my reading glasses just to get the text. With the Nokia, it’s not a problem. Call quality exceeds all the aforementioned phones as well. I have a black 920 and use the yellow themed tiles. My only complaint is that this sets the theme throughout the phone, and it uses white text on a yellow background for text messages. I wish it had the ability to change the text to black. This is not a shortcoming in most situations, however, when driving, it is a bit difficult to make out the text without paying closer attention then one should while driving.

Since a month I’m owner of the Nokia Lumia 920. For me is this a perfect phone. But hell, why didn’t they test the phones? I reed on the internet that the phones, for example HTC and Nokia, turn off by them selve. I need my phone for my work, when the phone turn off I will lose work. Can I claim this Nokia / Microsoft ?

hi all. i love my Nokia lumia 920. but i have one or two issues . some of which could easily sorted,
1st -the calender which is fine as calenders go but it wont let me have an event which occurs every fortnight (i know it not that much an issue but the N8 could)
2nd – adding songs to a playlist is a pain in the ass.. almost impossible (especially compared to the N8)
3rd – cant set default numbers to use when call or txting
4th – can set one key dials (quick dial)
    5th – no fm radio
6th – no fm transmitter (which the N8 had and was handy)
7th – changing the ring volume in the media player changes the ring volume which is annoying
8th – no predefined profiles ie. silent loud headphone etc. these were extreemly handy in every nioka scince the year dot. why loose them now.
other than these things its a great offering from nokia and they need to be working on the 940 as the S5 will once again leave nokia in the dark.

Unless I just don’t know where it is… you need a way to copy contact information you can forward… you can’t copy numbers so I have to write it down then type it in a message. Also it is difficult to copy pictures most of the time it won’t let you. Other wise I LOVE it.. yes it is bigger i love the screen…and as for heavy no… not really
