Let’s play Pass the Parcel

By on 01 June 2009

Just for a bit of Conversations summer fun, we’ve invited some of our friends to play an online version of Pass The Parcel. Starting from June 1, every day, someone listed below will be randomly selected to unwrap one layer of the Conversations parcel. The parcel will then be passed randomly to the next person the following day. When the last layer is removed, sometime in June, the game ends – and the lucky final ‘unwrapper’ will get a nice surprise!

Anyone can join in the fun, just play the video each day to watch the parcel gradually open. While you’re here, take a minute to click on each player’s name to visit their site too. Enjoy!

Its a Bluetooth device, and June is when it will be fully revealed.

This would say to me that its either an announced mobile that will soon be for sale (the N97 or N86) or an unannounced accessory.

I lean on the side that says its a moblie device, and probably the N97. But that’s only because this device seems to get a lot of good looks here and there.

  61. Mster911 Says:

My personal guess is that it’ll be an E-Series touch screen phone ( this seems to be the most likely option……..as Nokia have already either launched or announced touch screen phones for the XpressMusic line ,the N-series, and the Internet Tablet series; so the only other famous line missing a touch screen device is the E-series……So it makes sense that Nokia will release a touch screen device for the E-series)

However what I’d like it to be is the Nokia 5900, with all the strengths of the 5800 but with a better camera, capacitive touchscreen, better processor and RAM…along with features like kinetic scrolling and homescreen widgets…also better audio quality(if that is at all possible)…..

I want it and I must have it!

    Reply

  72. arachnist Says:

If it is going to be N900 i hope it’ll be a real Maemo Phone.
I’d rather carry a 13″ laptop in the backpack, which lasts about 6 to 7 hours of real use on batteries, with the dvd swapped for a second battery, and a small, 3G + bluetooth/usb tethering capable phone in my pocket, than 2 devices in pockets, one of them larger than my wallet.
That said, i did carry around a phone + N800 in pockets and even considered buying a foldable bluetooth keyboard for it, but it started to be increasingly annoying to carry too many (more than one, actually) deviecs around.
Also, even if the N900 is not going to be a phone, it’ll be quite interesting to see Maemo5 on a real device, one that’s designed to run it.

@range, “Dual boot” Heh, that’s imagination. Oh, I think one of the layers might be just that. Heh. No dual boot, I can give that away. But good try.

  76. Gabriel Says:

Hi in the day 10 another NOKIA, samsung, etc feature (S60) but 3rd.? 5th.? who knows. I still believe is or 5800 or N-97

    Reply

  77. ARJWright Says:

I might have to change my initial thought… the N86 seems more likely if its a mobile. Something about the conversations today makes it more likely the type of device that takes what was once unthinkable (suitable digital camera) and makes it “ordinary.”

    Reply

  78. Milan Says:

    I’m guessing new touch screen e-series :)

    Reply

  79. arachnist Says:

S60? So i guess that settles it – it’s not going to be a Maemo device, thus it ain’t going to be the N900.
Too bad, there goes my plan to dtich my current phone.

  80. Micky Says:

    Reply

  85. ARJWright Says:

You know, it could be the 5800XM as well; I mean it does fit all of those features – even with the not as customizable widget front screen as the N97.

But yea, the N97 should probably be it. And considering that its releasing in 70+ countries, the idea of passing the N97 around the world with that kind of ability does make for a nice marketing tie-in ;)
