GLOBAL – Pretty much since it came out, I’ve been a heavy E71 user. I’ve used (and still do use) a variety of other devices but I keep coming back to the E71 as my everyday workhorse (though the N97 is giving it a hammering for attention recently). For me though, the E71 is one of the best devices Nokia has ever made. On so many different levels it just works. It also forms the middle Eseries device in The Almanac.

GLOBAL – This week we’re going to shine a light on The Almanac, which we launched a few weeks back. The idea behind the Almanac is to tell the stories behind devices we think deserve to be highlighted. Our aim is to build a bigger picture of those devices, both digging into the Nokia archives for never-seen-before sketches and reaching out to highlight what others have been saying. During this week we’ll pick a different section of The Almanac to shine our torch on, highlighting the most interesting bits. Read on to find out about the Nseries devices.

GLOBAL – Next week we’re going to be running a series of pieces highlighting our new Almanac section here on Conversations (read about what the Almanac is and why we created it). It’s still in its infant stages, and we have a bunch of additions we’re going to be making over the coming months, including a mixture of the latest and greatest, as well as some old greats. But we want your ideas.
GLOBAL – Uncharacteristically, we have another “administrative” announcement. The last one was pretty recent and mentioned things like Blogbite, @nokconv on Twitter, and blogs.nokia.com. This time around we want to introduce something a bit larger.
One thing that we’ve been wishing for is a central place that has all the information on a particular product or service. No, we don’t mean some static page with fancy graphics and long lists of technical specs. What we wanted was a page that had some info on the product, some photos, some dynamic ever-changing info about the product, and something fun. A jumping-off place for all you would want to know about a particular product.
What we came up with is The Almanac. And we think it’ll be a hit. Read on for more details.
